So far, I've done a tiny bit of kitty play (perhaps wearing ears/tail/makeup, mostly just pouncing, playing with shoelaces, or batting at the flogger). I don't tend to be bratty, but I somehow find the idea of combining it with animal play rather intriguing/amusing, if I were to find someone who was interested in exploring that dynamic.

So, any "puppies" startle their owner by sneaking up and sniffing his butt, or grab a toy in your mouth and growl when she tries to take it away from you, or bark incessantly, or jump up and try to push him over, counter-surf before mealtimes, or knock the trash over and scatter things around?

Any "kitties" stick their bottom in his face while pressing a handful of random keys, sit on the newspaper while he's trying to read it, or sit down and hoist a leg with an "I meant to do that" expression when you have a klutzy moment? How about just doing the "come follow me dance" and trying to non-verbally communicate what you want?

Any "ponies" step on her feet, get girthy when he puts the tack on, mug her for treats, or shove him against the wall with your hip?

dito. My three keep me busy enough as well and I appreciate that I don't have to share my plate with them...

I suppose as a kitty, one could simulate shedding by carrying scissors around and cutting off bits of hair onto the furniture...
Peeing on things I could do without, but it would be enjoyable to smack a boy away as he attempted to claw the sofa.
Also, I would frequently remind him that it was my pot pie.

Using an electric shaver, spread the clippings from that for shedding.  (Legs, underarms, pubic hair, etc)

Half the time when the cat decides to get in my face, sit on whatever I'm reading or the like I toss her across the room. Usually onto the couch or whatever. Maybe that's why I'm into the shorter girls, easier to toss like a kitty.

"...Well I know one pretty kitty who's sleeping with Mommy tonight!"
lol

I've never done it, but I kinda like the idea; with four cats around, including one who isn't very bright, playing the troublesome kitty sounds like fun. I do get corrected sometimes for swatting at keys, but the ass in the face thing would be hilarious, particularly since one of ours does that ALL THE TIME

OneMoreWaste and Lynnxz, that's exactly why I find it appealing a bit (only if my partner is interested, Taz, so it wouldn't be topping from the bottom. I'm not an unconsentual brat.). It seems like a lot of people do animal play focused primarily on costuming and props, while I find it more appealing to be catlike than to try to "be" a cat. Getting into the headspace, behaviour, and common mannerisms seems like it could be fun, with the right person.

Shadow-tiger, someone shot-putted me with one hand about 5-10' away once (in a swimming pool, I didn't get hurt, and it was fun).

Voodali, that's hilarious! You could always squirt him with water, too.

Crouchingtigress, they ought to know they have to keep their hand flat while feeding treats!

If our puppy was to do that he would be in serious trouble.
I believe puppy should be allowed to be playful because thats all part and parcel of what he is but not at the detriment of his owners and he most certainly never show us any form of disrespect.
puppy must show loyalty and the desire to please. If we give him a reward such as a toy or a command then he knows he has the freedom to be playful but there is a fine line and a firm hand if that line is overstepped.

I used to have a pony girl. She never showed disrespect for me but then she was trained the same way as I would train a real horse and thats with a loving but firm hand.
We had a lot of problems in the clubs because other Dominants (especially those with crops) would ignorantly believe they could give her a little tap. In situations like that she had my ongoing permission to shoot them a glare and if they continued she would back kick them and believe me she could kick them hard!

Hi, Jaz,
I don't view it as disrespectful, because I would only indulge in that kind of mischief if I got specific permission to do so. I would respect any limits or boundaries he put on such activity (same for if I were the top in the scenario, I would expect them to stay within negotiated areas, though I'm more drawn to engaging in this as the "critter"). If I have permission, and am not doing anything he doesn't want me to do, and he is amused by my being silly with it, I figure no harm, no foul.
