TeachByRod -> A Un-Taught Desire a drift in the Information (1/16/2006 4:41:49 AM)

Hello and thank you for reading this.

I am a 43 Male in the Northwest of United Kingdom. Through relationships with women and material on the net i find i am interested in Sexual Domination of Females.

But i am confused because i thought Bdsm was about freedom , preference experssion and indulging your desires with a willing partner or partners. To me life is a broad church but i seems to ( maybe wrongly ) feel there is a under current of intolerence, Conformity control , sex is diry attitude and people just miss leading others on these boards.

Without sex none of us would be here , it is apart of us, no matter how much some think love, life and happiness is beating a trusted up body. I would make myself plainer understood , its is not just about sex , lust , desire but embracing it as a whole, as a part of human nature. And accepting just as some crave pain other crave sexual control , the experience of sexual pleasure from the gift of someone obediantly giving. Of people in a mutual existence and celebration of their togetherness. I am in no way talking about or refering to orgys, or sex swinging.

I would state that i know some would take offense from what I have written but i ask them to stop and think is the whole world really a book of rules all must follow without varience. Or is lack of acceptance of peoples different sexual , living , relationship and habitation likings just a form of intolerence ( perhaps being a control freak )

I have no online training , no badge to show i belong to any group , i have not attended any munch . or have any certificate given from any paid for training course to justify my words as true or wise.

These are just my words my expression and i write them knowing some will stone my as a heretic , seek to punish me as the none believer , caste me out as the un-godly . While others may just shake their head and leave me with no words spoken .

Yet some may just say " so what its only his point of view nothing more " . and they might even talk to me or express their view to .

Thank you for reading this I seek not to offend , although i know some will be eager take up the sword of defence of belief. I mearly wished to express a thought.

Is that reason enough to stone someone to death?

BDSM is just like everything else, you will find the same greatness and weakness within it as you do in everyday life.

For most people, sex and sexuality is a component of their relationships (you rarely find a heterosexual slave/submissive accepting a relationship with a homosexual dominant), the sex itself is not what drives the relationship.

For my current relationships, all of them are vanilla in foundations and expectations. None of us has any day to day authority over the other. However we play a lot and sex is intermingled in our play on a fairly regular basis.

Yup, there's intolerance. Yup, there's narrow mindedness. Yup, people in this lifestyle can be judgemental assholes. In otherwords, people are people where ever you go. There are good and bad in this lifestyle, just like anywhere else. Enjoy those you get along with, ignore or avoid those you don't... that's about all there is for it, same as in everything else.

Contrary to popular myth, this "community" isn't anymore tolerant than any other social group and at times I think its a good deal less tolerant. Why that is is open to speculation. My personal theory is that there are a lot of people in this lifestyle who feel a wee bit conscientious about it and a tad insecure... makes them a bit defensive. And I would advise just patting them on the head and moving on... but that really annoys the hell out of them... so its usually best to take the advice of Yellowstone.

Keep your windows up and do not feed the bears.

And yes I'm in a good mood today. [:)]

TeachByRod, check out the Gorean forum, and you will sometimes see intolerance (normally people just asking what's going on, but every so often one that just smacks of "YOUR KINK SUCKS").

I've been told that, because I didn't (till recently) own any toys, that I wasn't into BDSM.

I've been told I don't know what I'm doing by people that have NEVER played with me.

I've been told I'm just a general ass (which, by the way, I am).

However, most of these are from other forums.

We're all human.

Therefore, you'll find your closeminded, my kink is the right kink, people.

You'll find your preachers.

You'll find your openminded people.

It happens.

People are people; relationships are relationships. Being into BDSM and/or D/s doesn't change the dynamics.

Back to the OP..................................>>>>>

Thus far you have been given some of the best advice I've seen yet. The secret is to find those who you click with and create your own socialising group of people. From them if they have experience, you can learn and meet others with whom you can mingle with and gain experience. this is what I did as far as BDSM areas of my life. (I was already established as a Gorean Master which did and does work against me due to predjuces).
