I don't think one can summarize a "dream" submissive into one of those categories you mentioned. Myself, I'd pull a piece of the puzzle from each personality type you put out there and mold MY submissive to MY standards. It all begins with basic honesty kiddo. Don't play games with a Lady up front and she's gonna be a straight shooter with you from the get go. You play games as a submissive, we Dominants know how to play them better, we've mastered our "Craft" if you will with the mind fuck.....so be honest with the ppl you meet up with and how can you go wrong from there??!!

I'm not asking this question as some sort of entree or "how to" guide to find a Mistresss, but rather to see what kind of man YOU most get off on Dominating. This is about how a Mistress gets turned on, and its less about whether she's compatible with the sub, so to speak. This is more a fantasy question than a reality question.

To put it in crass terms, because its basically a crass question, its the equivalent of asking, if you could drive any car in the world, what would it be?

In 15+ years of being in the lifestyle as both a lifestyle Mistress and a Pro Domme, I have encountered as well as played with versions of the very specific subbie types that you mention, as well as combinations of several. I've played pro-atheletes 6'5" and 300 lbs that safeworded on my koosh flogger, and little tiny mousey types that could take my most wicked instruments of torture while eating a sandwich (well almost). I don't think that the outward appearance, physical or otherwise, makes the sub.

The sub of my dreams would be the one that I connect with mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. The one that is open minded and generous with his thoughts and feelings. Thier body, their service, and their time are all tangible and valuable, but nothing surpasses thier heart and soul. I don't think you are superficial enough for this question!!! Maybe its a dumb a question.

Seems like I should pony up if I'm trying to put others on the spot.

My fantasy DOMME, we're talking fantasy is: older (46-60), more emotionally composed than I, confident, dressed stylishly but not like a slut, wise, disciplining and motherly. I suppose the achitype would be: THE HEADMISTRESS of a School.

I would not want a Model Type. (Need more than pretty appearances.)
I imagine a professorial Type might be too complicated, dry, and self serious.
A maladjusted Geek probably wouldn't DOMME too well -- and doesn't fit my fantasy ideal.
I'd rather play with a Stud Athlete type, but I've never dated this kind of woman. That would be new and I'm not sure how intimacy would be.
Power Professonials tend to lack souls -- so I'd not chose them first.

This is one of the reasons I want a bigger harem!!!!

I find several of these attractive to me -- Fox himself is part #3, #6 and #7 (yes, I've actually had women and men ask me if they can just "look" at Fox -- weird?).

These types, several of them anyway, have appeard in my short stories -- most of which, but not all, come from my personal fantasies.

As to "dream submissive"... we might as well make it all the above... if one is going to dream why not dream big!

Each type as you defined is going to produce different results... different performance, different handling & most definitely a different ride.

I would drive a Lamborghini much differently than I would an Dodge Hemi Pick-up Truck, but both would be an enjoyable ride.

Why settle for one?
I am fortunate to be with a man who is a combination of all except for 1 and 3 (there's only room in the relationship for one career-person). But he doesn't have the negative qualities (introverted? no way.)

The power professional interests Me least of all, My experience is these are more the hmm kink dujour types---like the thread about the madonna/whore-- they marry vanilla and play with Dommes

I also have trouble with subs who are shorter than I am--its just My preference--

I preferred between 35 and 55, My dream is the same as I am--it just allows for the sharing of so many more things and experiences beyond D/s.

I, too, think two (2) "power careers" in the same relationship is bad. Not sure if I read you right, but there's a hint that introverted is negative, where if I was to speak for myself, I'd be more likely (but not guaranteed) to dislike an extrovert.

Where would you get your greatest domination fix? Who you would find more arousing, more exciting to WHIP? From what I see, you and maybe the others too are speaking more to what sub would you really bond with and get into. Maybe this is a distinction without difference.

Yes, and this means you are not too well suited for the human commodities market. I had dinner with three ladies the other night, ages 40, 42, and 50ish. Two were single, one by divorce and the other a widow, and the third married late (age 40.) To some degree these women were talking like I wasn't there, meaning they were being rather open about dating, sizing up men, finding a match, and decoding relationship signals. Under this umbrella came out the TALL PREFERENCE. All three like'em tall. I'm short (5' 7") but not a dwarf, and I suppose I would prefer my match to be my height or less.

Anyway, after departing their company, it occured to me why I wasn't quite 'the catch' in High School, wherein I was pint sized as a freshman (85 llbs.) Kind of funny.

I would imagine, but have never experienced it to say, that a huge size disparity would NOT be good for inter-body chemistry in the bed --- that is sex, cuddling, and sleeping. I know I would feel weird being with some sort of giant woman --- 6'6" --- so I just wonder about this --- how exactly a 5'3" inch waif-woman gets it on with a 6'3" 220llb male.

Back to the aforementioned ladies --- it was kind of a sexless Sex in the City discussion among them. Their relations to men in the dating world reminded somewhat of Kremlinologists in the USA trying to figure out the Politburo's next move and long term agenda. I was stunned at one lady who had been dating the same guy for 3 months had not even established a comfortable enough rapport to talk to him about the usual relationship issues (how do you feel about me, are we exclusive, do you think long term, what are your views of marriage, etc.)

It occurred to me that "these women don't know how to talk to men." Or..."men are so difficult, women find it impossible to talk to them." Or.... "Women don't really want to talk to men, rather they prefer to talk about men with other ladies...."

I truly felt I was in another universe. And the poor men or should I say ladies ---- THE EXPECTATIONS -- THE HOPES!!! to find it all (money, social compatibility, sexual attraction, timing, committment, values, matching life puzzles, etc.) in one, single, solitary, flawed, (nothing like Akasha's boyfriend/submissive) person!!!!

I could also see how getting older really complicates the whole fucking project. The pickings get slimmer and the reality of experience sets in too. So, I got to hear:

"He has two children...."

"He did 'X' (gasp!!) in the past..."

"I'm not sure I want to be #3 in his life, coming behind his job and kids...."

"I didn't really like his house..."

"He was a Republican!"

You get the drift.

All of them turned to me and said, "O, you are lucky to be married."

"Right," I thought, "two of you were married, look at you. The other one, well she is reviled by his children, yep lucky to be married. I wonder what they'd say if I told'em, yes, I'm married, but I'm married with permission..."

I think THE ANSWER lies somewhere between Veronica and happily ever after neverland ideals.

Back to the poll, if I had a sex change and became a DOMME, I'd chose door #5. Trouble is, after the sex change, I'd probably be unable to talk to and understand him anymore.

Let me do say that I have scened and had short term relationships with those My height or shorter and it was awesome, but for a LTR, well height rocks My world but--the new boy was not selected because of his height, he was selected because he was real, humble, funny, arrogant. witty... I recently married a man I love more than anything. We are on the whole very happy together, but lately I've become incredibly jealous and unhappy. The problem is twofold really. Five years ago I moved abroad to be with this man, quitting my job, leaving my friends and family to follow someone I was convinced would someday be my husband. However, throughout our relationship I've periodically felt that I've been the one to make sacrifices from which he has benefited completely and I have benefited by keeping him. Recently I've felt this acutely. He is a successful, gregarious, charming and highly intelligent academic and just got a very prestigious job at a top university. He has fulfilled his ultimate ambition.

I also wanted to be an academic but my work was not good enough to allow me to carry on to do a Ph.D., and although I was very successful academically at university in the U.S., I had a nightmarish time finishing my master's degree in Europe because I wasn't used to the independence of the European system. To some degree I resent my husband for choosing to come to Europe to finish his graduate work (we had planned to stay in the U.S. but he changed his mind at the last minute), because part of me thinks that I could have been much more successful in the American system where you are taught for the first two years. Perhaps I needed more training and would have succeeded.

Another strain is that his college life has now become our social milieu and we usually spend most of our social time with other academics. He is constantly praised for his intelligence and charm, and in all honesty it makes me jealous and makes me feel that I am unworthy of him. For example, one of his supervisors said, "I don't want to meet your wife because she won't be worthy of you." And another said to me, "With your husband's intelligence and charm he's going to be a magnet for the undergraduate women."

I am a publisher now, and I feel that the academics we spend time with admire my husband and engage with his work, and see me as just the wife. I feel resentful and very nostalgic for the time I spent with my non-academic girlfriends who thought I was great and loved talking and spending time with me. I am beginning to hate going out to these academic engagements. It is distancing me from my husband, who generally loves these kinds of things; spending time with academics is one of his greatest joys. He's beginning to see me as someone who prevents him from making friends and exploring university life.

Furthermore in this climate, I am also terrified that my husband will leave me for either one of his students or one of his colleagues who better shares his interests. My husband places the highest premium on intelligence, and I just feel that there are so many other women he knows who are more worthy of his attention. I write today because I just read a terrifying report : Men working as university lecturers are 80 percent more likely to divorce their wives because of their daily interaction with young, beautiful and intelligent women students. Have I made a horrendous mistake, moving to another country, sacrificing my friends and family, my ambitions and hoped-for career, all to be with this man who, statistically, will most likely leave me?

I want to emphasize how much I love this man. He is extraordinarily understanding and loving toward me. I feel that I will die if he leaves me, and every day I feel that he will. How can I stop introducing fear and suspicion into our relationship, potentially sabotaging it?

Please, please help. I can't talk to anyone about this.

The Academic's Wife<

I'm curious if a D/S dynamic could be applied here, and if it was, would she feel more secure? Just supposing he was the sub, the irony would be that in the outer world, he'd be "the top" because of his superior talents and better position. One thing is for sure, nothing can make you feel more inferior than academics in academic circles.
