QuixoticErrant -> Note to a scammer... (2/10/2009 10:21:13 PM)

I saw a profile with a photo - obviously from a magazine - of an attractive and healthy blond woman.  She was listed as a 50lb straight Asian slave.

Wanting a laugh, I looked at the full profile and felt compelled to write the following:

Dear Scammer,

I want you to know:

1.  Most Asian women do not come in blond - or have blue eyes, or that skin tone etc...  Your photo is of a white girl.

2. The woman in the photo you picked weighs a lot more than 50 lbs.  An adult - or anyone over five feet tall would have died of malnutrition long before they got down to 50 lbs - and if they some how miraculously survived, they would look like a nightmare picture of starvation.

3.  Perhaps you meant 50 kg.  That is possible, but few girls from the great state of Maryland (where you say you are from) think in kilograms.

4.  There is little chance that a slave girl would ever want a submissive man or woman as a partner.  I'm not going to explain the concept to you.  I'll let you figure it out.  Really, just checking everything on the list leads to certain contradictions.  I'll let you sort those out.

5.  Beachcombing and opera are your chief likes and yet you list no kinks. I will introduce you to the word "vanilla."  In whatever country you are in, your dictionary will refer you to a bean indigenous to the Americas.  I'll let you sort out what it means in this context.

6.  There are many scammers on this site, but I must say that your scam profile was the single most incompetent and stupid one I have ever seen.  My hat is off to you and I thank you for a hearty laugh.

Please do not educate the scammers.  They are much easier to spot the way they are.  [:D]

How much do you want to bet he writes me back in text speak showing interest in our great love?  Trust me, this one is too stupid to be educated.

This one is invalid. Those who enjoy a power dynamic but aren't kinky are also welcome on this site. For that matter, a person doesn't have to list their kinks to be on this site. They may want to encourage people to actually ask them.

Did you actually send this?

RedMagic1 -> RE: Note to a scammer... (2/10/2009 10:39:29 PM)

There are no kinks on my profile.  Also, I learned long ago not to write a female profile that lists no vanilla interests.

QuixoticErrant -> RE: Note to a scammer... (2/10/2009 10:41:45 PM)

Yes I sent it.  I agree with your critique of my number five.  If he had just said that "she" was a submissive female or a switch, I would see it more.  However, most slave profiles are a bit more hardcore in their lists and they tend to write a lot about service.  I was not going to be that specific with this fellow.

Cali is right, QE. Don't assume that this scammer is as stupid as you think, and don't assume that others don't read the forums and won't see this thread. While many do not read first replies and go on with the next mail in their format, some do and will remove the red flags that make them easy to spot.

Yes you are of course correct.  And BTW hello to a fellow scientist, but I would still posit that it is unlikely that someone listed as a slave, which you are not, would list no kinks in the list and have nothing about service in their essay.

Wyld is an expert on this subject, giving a professional opinion.

OK you have a very valid point.  I just hit unsend.  I was hoping to start a convo with this person though.  I had it all planned out as well...

If you want to play with him (and it IS a him), mail me on the other side. [;)]

Honestly... why send it? I play with the spammers who contact me. As long as they leave me alone, I leave them alone. With all the conflicting ideas of what makes a fake and a wanna-be and some people's  lack of know-how when it comes to the Internet (I've met people who didn't know how to set up a dating profile because they just don't use the 'net) I just never know if it's all some misunderstanding/typo/whatever and I don't feel the need to be mean to them.

(I sound like a hippie [:D])

scifi1133 -> RE: Note to a scammer... (2/11/2009 2:16:26 AM)

lol just a little bit.[8D]

Vendaval -> RE: Note to a scammer... (2/11/2009 2:48:52 AM)

Just ask them to send you money instead.

DarkSteven -> RE: Note to a scammer... (2/11/2009 3:14:59 AM)

I get two or three a week.  As Cali says, I don't educate them... I just delete.

There are a few other signs as well.  But I'm not discussing them publicly... too much chance that the info could get into the spammers' hands.

GreedyTop -> RE: Note to a scammer... (2/11/2009 9:10:06 AM)

I will give credit to the OP though... that was a good response :)

Agree with Cali though....
