i  t h i n k it has something to do with seeing better in shaded or foggy climates since lighter colors reflect more light. but i am sleep deprived and not certain what i remember.

I could see that, and the human race is getting to be more and more nocturnal so that could be it... However there hasnt been a corresponding pupil mutation that would also allow more light...


Lynnxz, the plasma cutter hurts your lungs because of the crap you are breathing in, wear a mask dearie :P

ETA: I could be wrong about the pupil mutation, but so far the internets hasnt said anything :P

That sucks... if the gene had completely shut down all the blue eyed people would be albino.

so, you mean blue eyes are a geneic mutation? well, i guess that makes sense. i have blue eyes, and let me tell you, it's no picnic. way more sensitive to light than brown, everyone i know with them (inc. myself) very near-sighted, bad night-vision, etc. but! on the plus side, i can wear blue mascara, and it doesn't look stupid.. yay me. I have grey-blue-green eyes, ((they change)) and am disgustingly sensitive to light ((More than 3 candles in a 10X10 room and I need my glasses))
