The senior senator from New York lays out in a couple of sentences exactly what the liberal elite think of the little people whose lives they are taking control.  You are all indifferent, non-caring individuals who have turned over total control of your lives and purse to politicians who know exactly what is right for you...you don't care about the "little things"..like porkie things in the so called "Stimulus Bill".  Well, Senator, maybe your liberal legions don't care about howyou bastards in Congress waste our money or insert amendments to govern our healthcare but 47% voted against this neophyte in the Oval Office whose location is somewhere outside of the White House he seems to be afraid of or uncomfortable in living.  Where is the " President" on this porkie stuff...to what town whose grief he is now exploiting to sell his rape of the Budget Bill is he now taking AirFarce One.  Must admit he looks cute in his new jacket..dontcha think..?

I have no idea what he was going to say...There is no cohesiveness to the small snippet....easily taken out of context.  To pass judgment one would need to hear the whole dialogue.

You are incapable of realizing this.  I feel sorry for you.

What can I say..that's all I could find. Listen to the news on TV..his comments are in the leading stories of most newscasts..and tomorrow on talk TV and talk radio.  You might get better context there. However, sometimes even a "small snippet" tells the story..and exactly what are you confused about or feel there is more context than.."the American people don't care about "porkie" things..???

Pay no mind to people like Corysub, you get these kinda people all over the net.  They whine, complain, insult people and really say nothing of substance.  It's pretty sad how petty the right have become.

Bush drove us over the cliff, and I don't recall you conservatives objecting until his bailout bill administered the coup de grace after eight years of insane mismanagement.

Obama's continuing the descent at a slower pace, and you're screaming your head off.  Where were you the last eight years?

I will afford Barack the same respect he was given by Reid, Murtha, Pelosi, Conyers, et al, along with the rest of the liberal unwashed.  I do respect the office of the Presidency possibly even more than Barrack who thinks he works out in Cali at some high tech software busines where you wear jeans and a sweatshirt to work.  Will someone tell him he "won"...he is President now ..even though his resume' is as a community activist, and I understand this is a major transition for him, please someone tell him to dress the part in the Oval Office for photo ops...it's not cool to turn the Oval Office into a meeting room in a Bennigans.  Casual wear at Camp David good..Casual wear in the Oval Office a no-no....Do it again and we may give you a "time out"....  nah..just kidding..you can't give the PRESIDENT a time out...can you???

Obama has been in office three weeks!!  You give him CREDIT for continuing the descent at a slower pace...are you delerious?  Obviously he has had no impact on anything yet....although he is doing a great job of exploiting the hardship of the people of Elkhart Indiana or Ft Myers..Peoria and on and on..Will someone tell him you don't rack up travel miles on AirFarce One!  The man is never in Washington..he is still trading to his strength as a community activist on the campaign trail...or visiting kids in school..When the hell is he working?? Who is watching the store?  Obviously his Secretary of The Treasury has no clue..and  liberals make these stupid assertions withhout any back up.  I know we all get passionate about our political point of view here...but at some point..like right now...please start to show some evidence of what you are saying or maybe we should just start a category called "Bull Shit"...

It's called  the truth Coldwarrior(so your a fighting a war that ended 20yrs ago?  Or are you trying to find a cure for the common cold?), just more of the same drivel I've read all across the net from "conservatives".   Much like Sanity's ridiculous goverment body-snatching comments.  Just more ridiculous straw grasping.  Not worth even reading let alone comenting on.

Cory, The voice of liberals is much longer than 16 seconds, good gawd this is getting painfully funny, no, sorry Im wrong its not funny, its pathetic.
insulting the gov, the pres, the senate, the establishment is fine, but calling those who disagree with you here as retards, the unwashed, the special ed people, uneducated, stupid, etc is going a long way to making you totally without credibility for me. Yeah I can snark and belittle I know, but man its turning into an art form here lately and its sickening.
Lucy
I know you arent the only one who is doing it, but honestly, two exact same clips lasting 16 seconds is laughable so I made a comment.YMMV

Excuse me Lucy.. I apologize... I did not know English was a second language for you..I did use the expression "unwashed"...but how, even in the most liberal translation, does that become me saying people are "retards"..a word I have never used in hundreds of postings...As far as uneducated, stupid..etc..where in my post did I say that?  You can probably find a great many legitimate reasons to make a liberal case against my conservative views.  If you find you can't do that..I would suggest you than just humm a happy tune..but don't write silly untruths.

And by the way..you gave me blame instead of credit  for making you laugh in these difficult times...  :(

Define pork.

I think pork is being used as a scawy word, the way cons use communist, terrorist, elitist, socialist, etc.

They just don`t want the stim bill in any case and voted that way.

Now they`re going to throw mud and names at it and insult/disparage it`s supporters. How constructive.

It`s pretty easy to throw bricks and ridicule when you`re standing on the sidelines with your hands in your pockets.

I notice that the cons aren`t proposing an alternative plan, cory.

Why all the stone throwing yet no effort to solve the crisis(they helped cause).

Very cute Cory, english is my only language, so I do tend to understand it.
My (sincere) apology comes from  missing out a few names and not including them at the start of  the  second sentence. Thats what I get for not checking what I type.
As I did say its not just you, I didnt mention just this post, I was talking about over a period of time.
I can and have made several postings against  conservative views, so its not that i am unable, its just that I prefer not to get into the dick waving and chest thumping that is so prevalent lately, when obviously some minds are not open to anything different.

Are you *really* upset about him not dressing up? Personally I find that I have better thought processes and things when I'm *COMFORTABLE* so I can completely understand the idea of wearing comfortable clothing in a high-stress position. I understand arguing about his politics, or even background and other such things; getting petty and squabbly over the fact that he doesn't meet your standards of dress is just silly.

Some think pajamas are comfortable. Still no appropriate for the president to wear on camera at work. I don't care if he wears loafers or fuzzy house shoes when he is off camera. On camera, Suit and tie.

Elite does not equal unwashed.  Why do you have a problem with business casual on the weekend for White House staff who work Saturdays and Sundays?  How is it disrespectful for an executive to take off his suit jacket and keep on his dress shirt and tie while working?

The guy could sit in front a PC naked w/ a collar if he did his job competently and that`d be fine.

One thing nice you can say about bush is he always dressed well.

Not sure if well dressed = competent.

Judging from the last 8 years, well dressed = failure.
