Krys: i totally agree. When Master hacks the PHP code for my website i get kinda weak in the knees and god forbid he talks about programming, i just wanna run into the bedroom screaming "take me!"
W/we're both in grad school and sometimes i sit in on His classes and it's all i can do not to slip my hand into His lap when He's speaking so intelligently. AND He wears these fantasticly geeky glasses....ahhhhhh

What isWoW????????

World of Warcraft (or warcrack as I like to tease).

Its a mult-player online fantasy game sort of like D&D.

Its my first online game and I do really like it both by myself and with my spouse.

We are plotting against my slave and if they introduce a new race that is furry (maybe the worgen, werewovles) he'd be most likely to get into it.

For the person who mentioned D&D... we have a Sunday afternoon RPG group that meets in our house. We do a variety of stuff, currently Eberron system but then Fox is going to do a anime style one that is a time-travel story. I run our world of darkness games in the summer -- this summer 2006 I'm doing a werewolf setting.

I love this thread BTW...

Oh and I am a geek for both fun and profit. I do corporate IT for a living, its not a ton of fun but it IS moderately interesting and pays OK.

Outside work, when I am not playing wow I enjoy Scifi/fantasy/horror movies and books. And altho I did table top RPGs years ago I was reluctant to try out ther online cousins. Eventually I played Shadowbane with some coworkers and enjoyed it moderately, but when we moved to WoW I had to admit being hooked.

As for liking geeky subs, I DO have to admit I am going thru a "hot librarian" fantasy phase. I mean I always liked smart women, but lately I keep running into boyishly skinny girls in conservative clothing with glasses that just subliminaly scream "repressed tigress" to me.

i think the simple fact 99.9% of us on this forum have found this site and worked out how to join makes us all dorky enough.

There is always Taurens. Or a druid, so one can change into animals. The new update will have blood elves. They havent said what the Horde will be yet, have they? So maybe...

Taurens and druids do nothing for him -- he's a werewolf/wolf boy through and through. Or foxes, thus his name.

Thus our "date" to see "Underworld: Evolutions" this Saturday mattinee. Vampires for me, werewolves for him.

He's such a picky thing too but then when I stop and think that he's with me, hey, makes me feel good about myself.

Hehe, very nice. Lucky Master.

As for the shaved/tattood part, I often wonder if there is mor to these gals than the conservative outside. For example when picking up flooring for my friends basement remodle, the cute nerdy girl in line behind us was almost dressed for an ep of "Leave It To Beaver" very simple, old style look. BUT, then she had the leopard print purse with the vinyl accents.

Mmmmmm

Ooooo... now -that's- HOT! I'll counter your comparative mythology with comparative religions and developmental theology, naturopathy and quantum medicine and throw in a Tank Girl fetish....

*chuckles* There's' not a huge market for geeky dominas either.... damned shame if you ask me. We can be very creative, but rumor has it we're too "high head" and too much into the mind stuff for many folks...

That's ok, though -- 'cause we took "geeky domina" and raised it one... since the 2nd matriarch here is a PhD biochemist doing melanoma research in a -real lab- and studying homeopathy and quantum medicine on the side... *grins* And we'll be perfectly happy with our girls -- who -do- understand us... (Ok... maybe don't always understand us, but at least they don't get that "glazed over" look, which would really twink me off!) though we wouldn't turn our nose up at a "butler boy" who "got it" too!

Wow this is really cool, people talking about how hot geeks are.

This must not be the case in the majority of society though. I've tried and the "I'm a chemical engineer" just doesn't work as a pick-up line in most places.

Yes I really am a chemical engineer, like discovery channel, like startrek (haven't learned Klingon yet), actually loved the Farscape shows on SciFi channel but they aren't making them anymore.

kitsune -- that's the word he uses sometimes too.

He claims that I'm a panther personally; I'm torn between that and a grizzly bear personally but I definely have very catlike qualities including having suddenly changing moods and showing affection with my nails and teeth! Has led to some interesting role-playing.

Your Master has good taste then! :)

The mousey librarian look, with brains to match, as a very hard combo to beat... and beat often. :)

Slavenationarmy: First of all, awesome screen name and even better avatar! I tell all the guys that I know who like the geeky type to cruise grad school libraries. We're all there neck-deep in books, glasses perched on our noses, dead-sick of the icky come-ons from undergrads and waiting for a knight in shining armor to rescue us and carry our books (and laptops).

It's about damn time that men aren't afraid of a smart girl!

I am right there with ya fergus, depth psychology, archetypes, world mythology,
history, theatre, literature, languages, archeology, biology, geology....way too many interests and not enough time. (Or as one friend would say, "obsessive hobbies") lol

(That be me as an awkward adolescent - glasses, braces and parochial school
dress code.)

Then toss in a rabid, insatiable love of science fiction/fantasy/spy thrillers / mysteries/
ghost stories/ Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Gothic + Industrial music/ forensic psychology /animae + manga/ Heavy Metal art/Renaissance faires/White Wolf Gaming....

I think that the appeal of a geek/nerd/dork person is in the intensity of their passion
for knowledge, analysis and creative synthesis. The quest for True Knowledge is
not unlike the quest for True Love.

Salud!

Never worked for me when I was in grad school. In fact, it was when I decided that I would only date intellectual women that my decade+ period of celibacy began.
