I haz them.

*grins*  Seriously though I'm rocking some wonderful bruises and I wear them like battle scars - sorta with pride.

However - a random non scientific poll - how do you feel about bruises when you see them on your slave, someone else's slave or a person out in the vanilla world?
Are they a turn on - does it just leave you curious as to how they got them?

Definetly the latter if its someone I don't know.  But then again, since most people in the UK cover up due to the weather the only bruising you tend to see is to the face (in terms of blokes) and its generally pretty obvious how those kind of bruises occurred.

Personally speaking, if I wore shorts more often then you'd see plenty of bruises to my knees and shins - as a result of being tall, a little clumsy and having way too muxh furniture!

I imagine I'd be ok with seeing ones that I'd inflicted on someone else although I wouldn't want to have them shown off to other people.

When I see a woman who I do not know (and hence cannot assume is into a S&M dynamic) I must fight the urge to assume she is abused.

On my own Pet? I love seeing her behave differently as her body recuperates: squirming and wincing and deep sighs and rubbing herself.

To return to strangers, I'm terribly curious in how they've manage to receive damage, but do a good job of stifling my interest.

Not the most exciting post, I know... I'm so average.

I appreciate bruises that are the result of play or punishment. They serve as a reminder of the event to both me and the girl. Bruises that come from tripping or walking into the coffee table do nothing for me.

When I see bruises on strangers, I generally think they must be clumsy.

I smile when i see the bruising from play that i know we both enjoyed and generally from my experience submissives seem quite proud of them.
A submissive of mine once showed me some bruising on her upper thigh and i (quite genuinely)asked her how she got it.
She replied that it was me when we were fooling around in my car one time(i was performing unspeakable acts on her  little known she was pressed down on my cars gear stick) i was genuinely mortified at causing it and very ashamed.(genuinely annoyed at myself for hurting her)
So yes certain bruising can be cute whilst other bruising is just...well bruising

be well

I am more curious about scars and how someone got those more than bruises.

We're not into marks. He doesn't like to see bruises on me. And as I'm not into pain at all, being left in pain from bruises while I try to sit or sleep wouldn't interest me at all.

Additionally I don't heal fast so being left covered in bruises would mean I was out of commission for a good while until I healed.

I absolutely love bruises. He loves giving them to me and seeing them on me. The last time I had bruises I had to go away for a week after. I had to send him daily pictures of them so he could see how purple they got. I also find that I dig my fingers into them to make them hurt more...

I rarely see marks on other people. It would depend where they were on the body before I could form an opinion of how that person possibly got them.

Bruises heal faster if you and your dominant looks after the body. Me, part of the aftercare is the rubbing in of arnica or even a massage with comfrey oil, all that tension needs relaxing, and the two concotions mentioned are very good for bruises.

But bruises, who needs them, haemorrage under the skin, the tender feeling is enough without marks that heal slowly.

If you have marks, better hope you don't need to see your doctor until they are healed, it might if seen provoke some embarrasing questions, or judgements made.

But me, bruises I am used to, the nature of my work means bruises are a daily occurence.

I tend to enjoy them a lot!  They are reminders of spent passion and a wonderful session with a flogger or a paddle or even his bare hand.  I get a delightful reminders throughout the day.  On others, that is their business..I usually don't wonder.  I like for mine to be out of sight..only known to me and Him...*drools*..

It's hard to say without a specific context. When I see bruises on my close friend who I know for a fact doesn't like kinky sex, I get concerned and start asking gentle questions. When I see bruises on my friends who are into the same things, I know exactly what is going on because we show them off to each other.

It doesn't turn me on or off to see a random person's bruises because I have no idea how they got them. Usually I don't give them much thought unless someone seems to be hiding them.

I get a kick out of causing scars and bruises.

Poking, picking, and touching them is a happy reminder...

sometimes one wonders what sort of motherfucker caused certain bruises...

I love getting them from Sir - but i don't like him seeing them so much  -   he tends to push his finger into them and ask "How did you get that?"  in a very innocent way.

If I'm bruised (Related to a bite or some other such goodness), I am smug.
Bruises on others don't really track with any particular interest for me.

Well, I suppose the curiosity can be a turn on ;-) Think of all the ways an apparently vanilla couple might trade some bruises...

...well, other than n/c abuse. For some reason that usually doesn't enter my mind...maybe it's just the different kinds of bruises that usually entails.

Bruises are part of life... even the vanilla life.  My first girlfriend at 17 years old was the captain of her softball team and she took a ball to the side of the face.  It was big, blueish purple and swelled up.  We went out a few nights later and I got many nasty stares from women (mostly in there 30s).  Her teenage friends, just laughed and sid that she needed another one to balance out her look.

The bruise took over 3 weeks to fully go away and we mainly stayed in for that time... at her Mom's request.  I think her mother felt bad for me.

Scars and bruizes on other people intrigue me and i usually ask if i get the opportunity. I like to see bruizes on myself as a reminder of what we've been upto but i don't particularly think they look good on me, i tend to cover them up if i can and am always happy when my skin is a normal colour again...
once my bum turned purple after a spanking but that has never happened again and i have been spanked harder...could it be that one gets bruize resistant?

I hate bruises, scars however are another thing. Usually find them attractive really ..as long as they weren't gained intentionally.

Once I got a black eye completely by accident.  There was very little swelling, just bruising.  I thought it looked so amazingly hot on me.  I don't spend a lot of time looking at marks beside the five second 'Wow, look at that.'  on myself or others.
