This is a very old conspiracy theory, not really any new idea. I guess you could also say that discovering America was faked too, but I'm pretty sure that one happened as well (unless you were an Indian and already lived here...hmmm).

There are members of the "nutwing party" out there that come up with these lunatic theories, often backed up with the profound words of some esteemed scientist. The luna landings being faked, alien landings at Area 51 and that we "closed the Ozone layer" and now greenhouse gases can't escape into the atmosphere and so Global Warming..now called "Climate Change", since we have had a cold spell, is all due to anthropogenic CFC ommissions.

Heck, there was even a theory that was a best selling book that Obama and his brother had a "plot" to take over both the Unites States and Kenya! It's on sale at Costco now 80% off list.

You gotta be kidding me. The very same government that just gave $350 mil of taxpayer money to banks with no strings attached in vague hopes that they might start lending again, able to mastermind an incredible conspiracy requiring fooling scientists and engineers across the world?

If someone COULD pull this off, it wouldn't be our government.

As with any significant achievement, there will always be people who are too skeptical to believe that man did actually step on the moon 40 years ago. Yet a person also has to serious consider the hundreds of people who witnessed first hand the actual launching of that mission to the moon. Myself I find it very difficult to believe that a government agency would spend billions of dollars simply to pull off a world wide hoax.

There is an old movie from the 70's called "Capricorn One". The storylineis about how NASA faked a manned mission to Mars. After the movie came out many postulated that perhaps the moon missions were faked as well.

As for my opinion on it.....I think they really made it there.
