Would be a horror..with the possibility of radioactive leak, although apparently no danger of any of their 16 missiles exploding.

I guess the French were driving on the wrong side of the road again. Built in 1993 the Vanguard was the first of the Trident class. I suspect these will be phased out now the Royal Navy have a super new calss of Submarine in service. Coincidentally, the last Battleship built in the UK was also called The Vanguard.

Status: offline 		All that water and they crash, it is a bit like all that space  and two satellites crash, but then according to the European Space Agency, (ESA), who have released computer generated imagery of all the known space junk orbiting earth, it is like a mouse in the middle of the autobahn up there, with junk moving at twice the speed of a  bullet exiting the muzzle of a gun. Collisions though rare at the moment, will become more regular, as space junk creates more space junk as a result of collision.

If all this crap is charted, that is something for an enterprising agency to go and clean up our skies, there has got to be a fortune up there is specialist metals and electronic hardware.

I wonder if our seas are just as messy, could that be a reason for two submarines crashing in all that water, or were they just playing chicken and no one turned away.

Status: offline 		Thank God it was not as bad as it could have been.  You would think the ocean was big enough for two boats to sail withhout kissing each other.  Makes me wonder if the two captains weren't playing a friendly game "hide and seek"..and kinda outwit each  other.

Where is kittinsol these days?  I haven't seen her on the boards in over a week.  I hope all is well.

I heard the sub thing on the news this morning.  I didn't hear that they were carrying nuclear missles but the big worry in these kinds of accidents is the nuclear reactors.

Hide and seek is the whole idea behind subs.  Tom Clancy writes some great stuff about them.
