I have heard the term subpriness used here, but have not been able to find any information on this term.

a submissive is one who derives emtional and/or erotic satisfaction from surrendering some level of control.
when I think of priness I think of someone that everything is given to.

Please do not turn this into a chance to be mean, for I am only trying to understand this part of the lifestyle. I understand that we all do this in different ways and is this a new form of BDSM.

Is this this the same as a Daddygirl relationship?

In reverse, most people don't understand how I can be the dominant when I'm being a sweet little schoolgirl.

It's not the role, it's the authority.

I have pink fuzzy hearts with "Princess" embroidered on them hanging from my windshield mirror. I have a few tshirts with princess on them. I own a few different tiaras which I wear to no special occasion at all.

For me "Princess" is a reclamation of my femininity, a reminder that it is ok to be soft, to be spoiled sometimes, that I deserve to be treated very well. Since so much of my life has been about making do, being tough, being alone, making my own path, I feel very glad to be able to have outlets to allow the other parts to enjoy some sunlight.

I joyed reading the links that you sent and it has cause me to rethink how I define the term princess.

I tend to regard "princess" in the historical context. Pampered but with varying degrees of actual control over their lives depending on the time period and context. So that basically... it could refer to a woman with no power over her life or someone with a great deal of personal power.

I playfully refer to myself as the kitten princess sometimes.
