If you've ever read kinky erotica or looked at a dirty cuckhold illustration you may have noticed a certain "black bull" archetype.

He is large and muscular, with a giant cock and naturally he doesn't speak much. After all he is really just a tool to conjured up by a horny white guy who doesn't think to question why he chooses to use this man as a symbol of the ultimate gritty masculinity. He is used to emasculate the white man. He is a tool, drawn or typed by white hands. He has a huge cock, he is silent and he may not be particularly smart.

It's not difficult to see how this happens. We live in a world with media that makes us fear black men, so it makes sense. As a pro domme my white clients who are into "cuckhold fantasy" often make it clear that they want me to tell them I only "fuck big black dick". While I can enjoy different types of race play, this non consentual appropriation of black sexuality by white people is offensive to me. Anyone have any thoughts? I would love to hear from people of color in particular.

As a brainy woman of color I think a lot about race and media, though I am often not able to articulate my ideas very well...

Perhaps the stereotype, particularly in America where you live, is a significant symbol of the white supremists historical use and abuse of, importation, sale, torture and killing of african slaves over hundreds of years. Maybe what you are experiencing as a pro domme, is a recognition and realisation by your "white" clientele, they really are insignificant, useless, punile, pathetic excuses for men, and in no real way have contributed to being any value to anything, let alone anyone. So being being treated as a cuckold would also be significant in that they also realise that continuing to breed insignificant, useless, punile, pathetic "white" men is not the best option for the future of America's economy.

Turn it into consensual play and let your piss ant "white" (american male) clients know exactly how useless they are.

MommyFiercest, there are some groups on FetLife that are POC focused, and they've had good discussions on the "black bull," as well as the anti-fetish that Asian men are small-dicked and asexual.  The  CollarMe boards tend to be heavily white and hetero, and, sometimes the posters are not, ah, psychologically astute.

Yet that same scenario applies to many images in hetero bondage pulp mags of the overly buxom helpless female who's all tied up and fearfully waiting to see what er male captor will do to her next. Another classic example is the Tom of Finland characters which all the male images drawn are broad chested, with inflated bubble butts and a a package that looks like they have a basketball stuffed down the front. Now that is a gross exaggeration right there.
Yet when you actually study the mythos of this, you have to keep in mind that these are just caricatures drawn for amusement and aren't actual or factual representations of a person, whether they are white, black or asian. They are there to feed our fantasies. Yes not all fantasies are based from reality and that is fine.

I think that porn and to a degree erotica is almost always built around stereotypes. I don't think it is limited in it's race or sex or age or other category either. Obviously it appeals enough to make it worth writing and selling or posting for free in many cases.

The question for me is more why does it appeal and I think when we as a society can figure that out, we will have made a profound advancement as human beings which means I don't think it's coming for a few lifetimes.

I guess the only group of people who can truly say if they feel that they are non-concentually involved in anothers fantasy are the black men, but I suspect that like all other demographics, some will proclaim that they are offended and others won't care.

My only corolation is when someone suggested that a person was asking me for pictures so they could masturbate on them (this was during my vanilla years so there wasn't even a hint of kink)- anyway in all honesty I don't think involing my image in a fantasy really is involving me either concentually or non.  I don't know how something between you and a white client in which a fictiontional black man is spoken of can affect black men, but again I'll reiderate, I'm not a black man so I can't speak for them.
