I am in the process of creating my "dream dungeon" in El Paso. It is basically a castle in the front, and in the back it is a prison entrance. I always enter through the front.. my new toys enter in through the back. It got me thinking that I bet many others have fantasies about what their dream castle would include. That being said. If you could build anything as your "dream dungeon" what would it be? What would you have in it? What could you not live without <3 Dr. R

Heart and dedication. Without them you won't get far. It's not the toys, the structure or the amount of money you have, it's what you can do that matters.

not to minimize a great brainstorm session idea, but right now the only things i can think of are GREAT central heating and a cleaning staff. oh and that wood polish that smells like honey. and a dryer that fricken works.

Having already furnished and decorated a room in our place as an ad hoc dungeon space, and having a love for old country cottages too, i would love to combine the two, have a dedicated space with some good sturdy wooden beams, dark slate floor, like an old creamery with steps down into it, cooler than the rest. Pride of place, a bloody great white wood cross, chains festooning the walls, meat hooks from the beams... Anything else would be a bonus.

Hi and I have go with feydeplume on this one. One thing though the cleaning staff should be from our world so if they get out of hand or don't clean out the lint trap you can always find something to punish them with.. Sorry I have OCD

Thanks for the neat posts. I wanted to say that I really appreciate the suggestions of how and where to find gear etc. Im not looking for myself. Most of this stuff I already have. It's meant to get to know the people behind the ideas etc. I've bought more toys that I can use in a lifetime. I just want to learn something about the people by what they would choose if price and realistic means were tossed out the window. :-P

I would like both and outdoor and indoor dungeon. Maybe a "futuristic" dungeon... like the inside on an alien ship (not that I know what that looks like, but I can use my imagination), with a cage made of perfectly clear lexan, a key pad to open the door (or not), an examination table with lots of stainless steel toys and tools, and a lighted wall with cool automatic wrist clamps (you put her hand in and they close by themselves). And I like the cleaning crew idea, but they would need to be dressed like aliens and you can beat them and hear funky alien sounds??? ;-) The outdoor dungeon would be a tropical garden with a huge waterfall with eye hooks to bind someone under the fall (it hurts more when it is wet), and a wall with vines you can use to bind your slave or sub. Like a kinky Tarzan jungle... Lots of other ideas, but I need to get some work done.

there are some great wood waxes/oils for real wood furniture that are beeswax based and the scent lingers for days or weeks. The candles are good, but tend to have the smell of cooking honey, that slight edge of caramelizing to them. I love that smell too!

Oh, I'd go for the heaven oaken door with the well worn steps leading there look. Classic chains and bolts in the wall to hook them to. Nothing's really changed over the years except the invention of the vibrator. I'd rank that up there with the invention of the internet....if I were a woman.

Do NOT even get me started on the lint trap issue or why the disposal eats spoons but wont eat lemons (for the scent and to clean em up a bit). I personally see a service staff (self included here) of male and female sub/slaves and the occational D or M that wants things just so and is willing to make sure it really is just so. Ok so there are a few wacky ideas about dusters and shammies and ways to polish the floors (had a roomie with a rubber/latex fetish and hard wood floors. Getting Wet Premium off hardwood floors so the cat didn't skid into the wall was WORK). add in the usual fantasitic kitchen staff (with a pastry chef gods damn it) and a nice yard with roses (hehhehhhe) and the rest is just toys. LOTS of toys. I guess the "perfect" dungeon is about the people rather than the toys to me.

i was having a look earlier at some similar threads on other sites regarding dungeons, and the vast majority seemed to gravitate to the basement, windowless space, cold floors with drains and shackle points, to an extent sparse and starkly decorated and furnished with a thick door. These spaces were more hidden, sound suppressing cells, in effect. Others favoured red walled and lavishly draped rooms, candlelit with dark fittings and softer furnishings. Not dungeons in the old fashioned sense of the word, more like passion parlours with some of the bells and whistles that one would expect for the purposes of torture! Apart from the themes differing, the spaces themselves tended towards one or other style. Personally, mine tends towards the latter, as my previous post describes.
