Dear God Stella! Put a warning on your posts! I laughed so hard I shot drink onto the wall (thankfully, the computer is still dry).

OP: I dont like being watched, but if I have the door wide open, and He wants to walk in and brush his teeth, more power too him. Now, if I am on a mission to drop the kids off at the pool, you damn right I want my privacy. He doesnt need to see all the work that goes into that. Granted, we do have a silly lil game of standing at the (closed) door (or talking on the phone) and asking each other "Whatcha doooin" in a child like tone, but I dont want him standing by the sink watching me do what I gotta do, while I sit there and wonder if I can hold it in long enough till he gets bored and walks away, or shall I just drop the Hiroshima and watch his skin melt off...

Well, how can I pass up answering a question like this

I close the door because I like my privacy. To be honest, even the cats have the decency to leave the room.

Plus, how can I do any serious reading with someone watching me?

My Sir won't let me close the door. That isn't too say he stands there and watches me. And yes, i occasionally let loose with a flesh melting one - that makes the birds molt on contact and Sirs hair go straight! and i would prefer not to be watched. Social taboo for me.

Stella, I do love you!

In my house, the bathroom door is usually open at least part way, for most things. Then again it is a quiet place, few people, and not much chance on anyone barging in. HOWEVER.......I do share the place with a Crohn's person. THAT is when the door is SHUT!

No amount of closed doors, or air freshener will save you from the "delights" of living with a Crohn's moment.

Humour is the key.

I tend to leave the door open to pee (and what is it with the cats?? WHY must they join me?). When I'm alone, I'll leave the door open even when I'm poopin'.

Ponders these people who seem to be able to close the door on the cats. I used to have cats. I respected the sanctity of their time in the litter box. They never returned the favour.
