Acceptance of Enemas - 2/18/2009 12:35:23 PM

I have been into the scene now for about 12 years. Recently I have seen a surge in enema play. Basically my subs have requested it. Has anyone else noticed this? This liking seems not to  be coupled with excrement but instead a heightened erotic feeling of water going in. Some subs have a distinct liking for being tied down while receiving and others do not want to be tied. Any one else experience this? Seems to have happened in the past year or so.

I can't say that I can answer your question from first hand experience, but I have noticed a change in profiles. Maybe it is just My perception, correct or not, but I seem to have noticed that activity listed more favorably in various profiles. I do remember several years back that a majority (in fact almost all) of profiles I viewed listed that as a hard limit. I still see it as a hard limit now, just not as often. So maybe it is not a "lives for", but it seems to be less of a "NO".  I might be wrong too, and just picking up the wrong things from a particular set of "sub" profiles.

I agree with ladynlord.  Seems to be less of a hard limit as of late.  I have noticed a huge upswing in golden showers as well, parroted by the photoshoots for Taboo magazine, where almost all of their shoots include pissing.

May have to do with the increased popularity of anal sex: enemas resolve some hygiene issues, it's a good way to relax the sphincter, etc., and in fact, it's the only really respectable form of anal eroticism there is - I've known a lot of people who weren't into kinky sex that are into enemas, and there's a whole cult of enemas that has nothing to do with sex or BDSM, coffee enemas, etc.

I think it's Katie Courics fault, what with the whole 'take care of your colon' thing. Maybe not directly, but with the increase of interest of colonics and colon clensing and all that jazz, it's spilled over to the BDSM scene.

Also, coffee enemas just make me laugh. All it does is get the caffine into your blood quicker since the colon is comprised of such highly vascular tissue. For all the good it does, you might as well shove a couple of diurex up your ass.

I dunno, never tried it, I'm as regular as a clock for the most part - I'm more struck by how many subs on this site have it as a hard limit - it's not a big fetish for me, but I'm into anal eroticism, and I'll try anything once.

Enemas are amongst those cyclical practices that drops in and out of favour over time.

It usually takes someone to start posting about it's erotic nature, or asking questions on the whys and wherefores of the practice, maybe anecdotal stories start to do the rounds again, and before you know it everyone who isn't already experienced wants to see what all the fuss is about.

Those with experience either just get on and make it an integral part of their regime, or find that given various circumstances it is rendered unnecessary.

For those who are wanting to explore every aspect of anal play, from the giver or takers side it becomes an essential element, be it from a cleanliness standpoint, or from control issues, or just purely eroticism.

Personally i have played with Doms who insist on it, their need a mix of cleanliness and control, and with others for whom it was an occasional element, a mix of control and eroticism. From my own POV, it lost it's erotic quality a long time ago, and i am now with someone who, when we were able or wanted anal sex or play, did not see the need for it on a regular basis.

Some people are pretty adamant that the anus is a one-way kind of thing, with the one-way being out.

Yes, certain religious elements are deeply obsessed with it, both because it's a natural form of birth control, and because it represent corruption (for obvious reasons), The World, with which they are locked in eternal dualistic (and mostly onanistic) combat.

Other just think it's grodie, but there's a big distinction between the sensations afforded by the second most nerve rich concentration of ganglia in the body and scat, which squicks me out as much as anybody.

In fact, I'm looking for somebody willing to Beta test my new anal eroticism diet.

Heh, it's sure to make the NYT bestseller list, nobody else is gonna touch it.

As pinkwind mentioned, enemas go in and out of style in cycles.  Sometimes they are proclaimed the fountain of youth and the best way to rid your body of toxins along with a juice fast, etc.  If you want a really funny look at whacky medical practices rent the DVD of The Road to Wellville, a story set at the health resort run by the Mr. Kellogg, the inventor of corn flakes.

The French were very into it in the Eighteenth century - lavage, to wash. Of course they didn't have toilet paper in those days, so... They also invented the bidet, no?

Damned civilized of them - can you imagine the rest of the world furiously scratching their itchy sphincters? I'm surprised it didn't catch on.

Come to think of it, the entire human race must have been suppressing their urge to scratch their itchy assholes since the evolution of the bubble butt.

Well, im all about cleaning up the anal. Easier to come if im not all freaked and tweaked about whats going on back there...
And, frankly, i blame Katie for a looooot of things.

Yeah, cleaning before any anal play is usually a good thing. That, combined with condoms, certainly helps eliminate the chances of UTIs.

Well, despite all the online slavespeak....the nurse in my trumps all, so i have to say...there is a natural order to things, so front to back and no switching is one way to keep things going in the right direction. perse gets crabby when poor judgement interferes with her orgasms....(said with all due respect and eyes lowered...)

Got a wife and kids in Baltimore Jack
But she ain't so kinky so I'm not going back
I come here 'cos there's things worth knowing
And my Collarme profile keeps me going
Everybody's got a hungry ass
Everybody's got a hungry ass
Just bend over, but watch out for gas
Everybody's got a hungry ass

I met her in a Kansas bar
She collared me after attacking my rear end
She took a tube and oooh Phwoar!!
Here I am down in Kansas again
Everybody's got a hungry ass
Everybody's got a hungry ass
Just bend over, but watch out for gas
Everybody's got a hungry ass

Everybody needs some kinky sex
Some are sub and some are dom
Don't make no difference what nobody says
We all like it sometimes up the bum
Everybody's got a hungry ass
Everybody's got a hungry ass
Just bend over, but watch out for gas
Everybody's got a hungry ass

Perhaps its because strap-ons are the big fashion of the moment
Enemas/laxatives just make sure your clean when you want to get into anal play and as long as your not taking them all the time then I think they are great.
