I've never attempted to keep a journal or diary or blog before I came here - and now I'm enjoying it.  I did write fiction and some fan fiction for a now-dead tv show.  But now I'm finding that I enjoy putting my thoughts down.

I can't see myself going to pen and paper - I like the ease of online.

i've done both types of journaling. When i put pen to paper it doesn't necessarily flow easier but it does have a different feel to it, but i tend to think faster than i can write so either my words end up in one long combined word or the writing is so fast and sloppy that it's hard to read.

Master doesn't insist that i journal but i do on an online private site for the two of us that i built because it's a way for me to A) get my thoughts out in a clean fashion as i can type closer to the speed i think B) i'm able to state my thoughts/feelings/opinions on anything we discuss or do even if i don't like it, don't enjoy it without fear of being punished as long as i am respectful. I can say i didn't enjoy having to sleep on my mat or that i've been feeling clingy lately ect or that i'm frustrated with the current lack of time we have together because of other commitments. There's only been once that i got scolded for writing something and that was more of a, "don't you ever say that again" type thing.

I like the online journal the most though i do keep both usually because Master and i are long distance right now so it'd be hard to say, "Master i wrote in my journal today. Would you review it please?" when it's in my hand. This way online, i can say that to him, ask him to read it and get his thoughts on it. I post everything there from dreams i have, to fears, to a new limit i'd like to have pushed. I have even posted things i'd like to try or have him try on me but i wasn't sure how to come to him about and he's tried them. Plus with the online i don't have to worry about moving all of my paper journals and perhaps losing them; over the last year i have about eight notebook journals already; also with the paper ones there's always that slight fear that a family member will read it, the online one you have to have the user name, the password and a four digit number before getting in and those aren't written down anywhere. Plus with the online one i can type in a date and get my entry from that day, no digging through my notebook hoping to find it in time.

I love journalling on paper.  I'm very particular about what kind of pen I use, because it has to fit my hand perfectly.  I go through phases when it comes to keeping a journal; it depends on how much free time I have and how much I feel like rehashing certain events, etc.  but I have kept them all and found it really rewarding to read journals from years past to see how far I've come in my mental and emotional growth.

electronic journal doesn't appeal to me as much...I love seeing my handwriting on the paper because it gives me a sense of accomplishment too, that the words are as much art as they are substance.  the only thing a computer has to offer me is the speed in which I can get it done, I type 70 wpm, and write a heckuva lot slower.

I had an online journal but really, i don't like the idea of some of my more personal thoughts being "out there for anyone" I know they say it's private but is it really.

I used to keep a diary on the computer, and I also have beautiful hard cover journals I hand write in as well.

I really do need to get back into doing it on a regular basis

I keep a written journal.  My Lord often reads it, with the understanding that I am writing for me, and not him, and that anything expressed is not meant to be hurtful.  He also understands that it might impact him in a negative way, but has decided it is worth it to him to be able to peak into my head.  He states that he reads it largely to see if there is nothing more that he needs to do or do something about.

I actually caught myself turning it into a whine fest, which I hated, and am trying to back it up and start over with posting of thoughts, feelings, and actions and not just emotional vomit.  My intent in starting it when we moved from Hellinois was to share our adventures and the trials of moving.  I've gone back to that now, and hopefully will be writing something I am more proud of than ashamed.

I have two journals, one for poetry and the other is called Quotable Quotes, which I love to take a book that publishes quotes and write them down on this particular journal.  One was from St. Augustine:

"Lord, make me chaste - but not yet!"

Hey, I am not even owned but I still have my thoughts and I like to be more creative on looking at my moods.
