Due to a recent job promotion and role change, I find Myself as key personage at our conference in June. I'd like to lose 30 lbs ( 10 a month starting March 1): here is what I have done so far:

1. Increased those fat eating, high colonic vegetables
2. Added a vanilla yogurt preperation with cheerios, granola, and or freshfruit
3. Purchased and are using 1 lb ankle weights when I go to the farm
4. Purchased and have printed out back saving exercises for 2 lb barbells
5. Added a daily walk in the subdivision
6. Increased water intake
7. Increased my green tea hot tea intake to 3 cups a day

What I am interested in is an over the counter or herbal diet supplement to use as a kick start ( that's how My body works, once it gets kick started its on its way and I no longer need anything)...

Suggestions? ( oh yeah  needs to be something I can get in the US or can purchase via internet)

Thanks!

I've tried them all at one point or another in the past. As far as I'm concerned they're all a waste of time and money..completely useless.

The only one out there that has any kind of clout is Alli but the side effects imo aren't what I would want to put up with...gas with oily discharge, inability to control bowel movements, oily or fatty stools, and oily spotting.

The only way to really safely lose weight is calories in calories out and portion control. Count  your calories and fat intake and exercise.

Hey Cat, your plan sounds great. Good luck! Personally, I like xenedrine. I know, it can make you jittery and wound up, but I too need that first kick start. I take it for a few weeks, on a really restricted but very healthy diet, loaded with tons of fresh veggies, fruit, h20 and lean protien, and it works for me.

By the way, a really good snack I love when I am in starvation mode is to take some grapes and raspberries, lightly roll/toss them in a little splenda or your favorite sugar substitute, and pop them in the freezer for a bit til they are hard but not frozen. Yum, and it cuts any sweet craving I have.

you are most welcome. I do that with sliced watermelon too, only I drizzle a tiny bit of raw honey it. Now I want some melon.

Several years ago I used Herbalife products with great sucess. No weird side effects either. Then I went and hurt myself and gained back everything I lost plus some.

This time around I've just been really cutting back and walking or using my eliptical and have dropped a little over 25#.

I do buy Slimfast bars, or Kashi bars because I know I need the satisfaction of chewing, rather than diet drinks. Not everyone will like the Kashi bars because they are not as sweet as their regular brand counterparts. However, that is why I love them. And, they tend to average about 120 -140 calories a bar. I have been having those with my cafe au lait for breakfast. usually another or an apple or pear for lunch.

Kashi cold and hot cereals are good for the same reasons.  They satisfy the need to chew and slow down how fast I eat.  Plus they are not sugary sweet.  I have been eating their hot cereals this winter. The 7 whole grain pilaf is great with some added raisins, dried cranberries or fresh fruit. And the instant hot cereals are very filling, great with some juice to start the day.

I like the pilaf for lunch and dinner also. I cook up a package and it usually makes 3-4 meals, depending upon what I add to it. Usually just a few veggies and maybe some soy sauce. Or maybe some grilled chicken, peppers and a little mole sauce. They also have some GREAT frozen dinners!

I love Kashi for it's low sugar and salt contents. I like Amy's also, but their frozen meals are usually higher in calories.
