I don't usually find it creepy, but what I dont understand are the ones that put me on their list and then never contacts me..

I actually, when i discovered there was such a list, went and checked who had put me on.. on actually like done of the profiles and just wrote a message saying something like..
"hey, why don't u send a message, it would be nice getting to lknow u, and i noticed u put me on yr list thingy.."

never actually heard from this person again... go figure.. so those i do not understand.. but i actually think its a bit flattering..

LOL, that's what you get for putting together such a great profile indicating you have a brain and a heart.

BTF... I've suspected all along that you're particularly perceptive.

Now I know for sure...

Did you feel flattered (you know what they say about imitation, lol)?

I'm well-aware of the old imitation=flattery adage, and it would be nice to report that I felt flattered. However, in all honesty, this was not the emotion I experienced.

I had someone on my admirers list who was really interesting...

He never contacted me...so, I thanked him for adding me, and told him how flattered I was. He still swears he never put me on there! hmmm....

We get along fabulously, and there is an interesting relationship developing.

He DID just fall off my list today (due to others joining) and I made sure he put himself right back on! *lol*

We have decided there may be a lil cupid running around CM....so...keep your eyes open!

Currently I'm mainly here joining in discussions, whilst I sort out mvoing and such in RL. Once I'm settled in the new flat however I'll be more activly looking.

If I see a profile that interests me I add it to favorates so I can take another look after the move and decide if I want to contact them.

I also add folks I think might prove interesting to talk to if I find I have a question (Either general or something they mention in their profile) at some later date.

I think you would have more reason to be concerned if no-one was taking any notice of your profile at all. You've put info out there and someone putting it on the favorates list only means they find something about it interesting enough to want to easily refer back to it at some stage.

Then I clicked on his profile to discover that he had copied and pasted my entire profile essay word-for-word, and was using it himself! This lazy bastard didn't even change the font size or color.

I contacted CM, and requested that they have it removed. CM complied.

Wow...I had the same thing happen to me except mine was copied by another female sub. Word for word and she too kept the same font and color. I found out within an hour that she had done it because I got about fifty emails from people in my admirers list telling me. Collarme also removed her profile completely for me when she attempted to do it a second time. Yeah Collarme and yeah admirers.

And as for me...I have only placed one in my admirers list my entire time here.

When I met my sig other I was the only one who had him on my 'favorites' list. He joked about the irony: Admirers: justheather.

Once we had established that we were in a relationship, within a matter of probably less than two weeks he had a whole slew of women who had added him to their favorites list. So much for irony... Let the poaching begin!

I only have a handful of people on my favorites list. (Is four a handfull? I guess it depends on what you are holding in your hand) They are people I know and communicate with regularly.

*Raises hand*
Thats why I found their profiles interesting

I've got about 4 on there that I'll possibly contact once I finish moving

and 3 who are on there to save me searching if I decide to mail for advice/chat

One of them is a sub i've chatted to a bit, another is a Domme who I've exchanged an email or two (She's lovely and a great help) and the third a Dom who I haven't yet contacted but he's on there because his forum posts are always sound advice and if I need such from a fellow Dom perspective he is the obvious first person to ask.
