DavanKael -> RE: Slave's (2/24/2009 9:32:38 PM)

What is it on the boards lately with folks having a worse than usual command of the language?!
I'm with hardbodysub's preference: a roll in the hay.
Followed by an avacado roll.
OP, what is your point?

GreedyTop -> RE: Slave's (2/24/2009 10:31:25 PM)

I like crunchy tuna roll, too

Vendaval -> RE: Slave's (2/24/2009 10:45:11 PM)

Nah, they branded the slave laws onto their back because the bar codes already took up the left butt cheek and the owner's mark the right butt cheek.

If they had the one, true meaning, why didn’t they etch it in stone or make it a law?

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: Slave's (2/25/2009 4:58:47 AM)

there's no such thing as a "real" slave - it's an oxymoron

hmmmmmm - hot flaky biscuits topped with warm maple syrup or gravy

Is there really anyone left that know what a real slave is and her roll to her or his Master?

Masterwood

The real question is, are there any one left who know what a real master is and his role to his or her Slave???

i'm not. Nuff said [:D]

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: Slave's (2/25/2009 5:15:22 AM)

oh btw - white gravy is more fattening than lite maple syrup

beargonewild -> RE: Slave's (2/25/2009 5:19:07 AM)

depends on how that gravy is made and if it's artificial or fake syrup or the real true stuff made in Canada.

Dnomyar -> RE: Slave's (2/25/2009 6:53:00 AM)

It is a couple of more weeks yet until we make our own maple syrup. Takes 40 degrees for the sap to run. Mmmm it will be smelt fishing time then also. Point Pele Canada is the best spot for that. Ya gotta love spring.

beargonewild -> RE: Slave's (2/25/2009 7:06:05 AM)

It'll be another couple weeks before the sap's running here Ray. We need several days where the daytime temp is above freezing before they start tapping the trees. Don't think I'll buy any this years as I still have a couple quarts in the freezer that I bought last year!

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: Slave's (2/25/2009 7:13:07 AM)

my Nawlins cousins like their southern biscuit gravy with lots of lard, flour, spices, bacon drippings and other things.

now that's fattening

I can't wait for the sap to start running here. There's a couple of places locally near the Falls where you can go and get all sorts of goodies, yummies and see how they get the sap to make the syrup. Or sirup, depending on where you live. I think it would be fun.

(Although on a somewhat sad note, there seems to be a preference for Aunt Jemima in the house.)

*Le sigh*

We only have a cider mill/press near here.  And it doesn't "run" anywhere.  I am jealous!

Dnomyar -> RE: Slave's (2/25/2009 9:50:15 AM)

Find a line of maple trees along a country road and put taps in them.  All of the syurps in the stores are just water and cornsyurp. My neighbor sets his buckets out and has the kids collect them and has them help him in the making of the syrup.

I prefer fresh hot biscuits, lots of butter....

OP, only YOU can determine what makes a slave real to you.

Perk did I hear butter or better yet buttah?  I would be happy to butter your bun greedy [8D]  Goodness know these two have churned enough of it I cant give it away fast enough
