Firstly, thank you all for your feedback, there are some interesting points there. I will however clarify a few things, according to some of the points made. The woman in question suffered spinal nerve damage as a result of an accident a couple of years ago, currently she can cum but it takes a huge amount of effort. To the point where the effort required defeats the motivation for having one. We were talking about a friend that I have who has had many years of training as a sub and had had a master who could make her cum on demand, the thought process was that if the mind can be trained to reach orgasm without physical stimulation, then surely she could learn to understand her body and mind enough to make reaching orgasm, easier and hence more attainable during regular sexual contact. I have actually questioned the ability to orgasm without having feeling in the parts that have an orgasm and as far as she is concerned, it is a different feeling than an orgasm used to be, but it is still an orgasm. While she isn't hung up on the ability to have one or not, if the process of teaching herself to orgasm quicker / easier helped her to understand her own sexuality better then that can only be a good thing. She is not overly looking to be able to cum on desire (thank you Missokyst I do prefer that term in this context) it is simply about understanding the body that she has and how to best utilise that to achieve a more fulfilling sexual experience. Surely isn't that a goal that we all have? isn't that what the self awareness that this lifestyle should be bringing to us all? The mind is our most powerful sexual organ, and in this instance her second most powerful organ is broke and out of warranty! the thought is that with a little brain training she can nullify the impact a little.
