quote:
I'm obsessive about teeth. it's the one thing I'm super shallow about. On that subject, why is it shallow to want someone with decent (decent = HEALTHY) teeth. Do not be ashamed of it, you are not shallow, it is human nature to want to be in the company of healthy people. A clean mouth, clear eyes and clean fingernails is one way of instantly assessing someone's genetic health. Although, dental implants are a last resort and again, there are some bad genetics or lack of hygiene going on there. Yet, if someone is a smoker, it is ok to reject them and you are not considered shallow? Why else do some dislike smokers besides their smell?? Answer: The destruction of their health. Having dentures is not like having a glass eye or an artificial limb (these are most definately from accident or disease). Gum disease is/was a preventable disease that they chose not to prevent. So I am not going to waste any more time on the subject of dentures. All I know is that someone who cannot properly care for their mouth, is even less likely to take care of the rest of their body or mind. We all learned 3 jobs by the time we were 6...clean your toys, tie your shoes and brush your teeth. A disease of the gums (in countries with flourinated water and access to toothbrush/toothpaste/dental care) is caused by sheer neglect, so the quote:
are you into their teeth or the person? answer.... I am into a person who spent 10 minutes a day to care of their teeth. Call that shallow, while you kiss some guy who's tooth falls out of his mouth with the stench of rot while you kiss him.
