I tried posting an intro. before but am not sure it ever went through - if it did, I wasn't able to find it again (then again, well, I didn't spend hours searching).

So.

Hello.

I'm Laura from Pasadena - female dominant primarily interested in the D/s end of things, with a few sadistic desires thrown-in for good measure. I live with my two wonderful submissive males - we've been together nine-years as of January and each day I'm amazed at how much I just plain like them. It's more than love and passion and lust - I actually like them as people and enjoy their company. They each have a partner outside of myself - one has a vanilla girlfriend (who knows about everything, of course) and the other has a lovely mistress whom I very much like.

For a while, when I was living in the Orlando area, I was active in that BDSM community - when we moved west I withdrew from all of the public stuff and hibernated for a bit, but now I'm feeling an increasing interest in getting to know local folks and possibly developing some friendships. Not very interested in play partners at this point in time - but I won't rule that out, either - though I'd rather meet people where we can interact in a vanilla realm and have the BDSM commonality be just one part of the compatability, not the sum of the relationship.

At this point I am seeking a slave (of either gender), but am taking a very gradual approach to the search; it's always been my experience that when the right person comes into my life, I'll know it, so there's no sense in pushing situations.

I've been reading the forums for some time, but haven't contributed - likely won't contribute much in the future, due to a lack of time, but I do appreciate the intelligent, compelling, entertaining exchanges of thoughts and knowledge and support.

Be well -  Laura

Welcome to the boards!  There are a bunch of awesome people here.

But the best ones can usually be found down in the Polls & Other Random Stupidity section... *ahem*  Just sayin'...

Thank you, Sultana.

It's an awfully small world, GreedyTop - one of my men is from Lakeland. I kinda miss Florida, myself - the wildlife and the skies and the swamps (and some of the people, too - I really miss them).

And thank you, too, Joe - I am looking forward to getting to know the community.

Welcome to the boards!

If you're looking for friends to interact in a vanilla realm let me know if you ever like to go the Norton Simon Museum. I'm a member and go there often. Also, there's a great Nepali/Tibetan restaurant in Pasadena as well.

Sláinte,
TT

It's a marvelous collection in an intimate setting. I can bond with a painting and sit for as long as I want. We were blessed with Vermeer's A Lady Writing for a couple of months. She has now gone home to DC.

And, may I wish you the best of luck in your new marriage. When you get to Wales, please say hi to Doctor Who for me.

Miss Laura,

Welcome and good luck in your search here.  Small world indeed, as I spent quite a bit of time in Florida also, mostly near Orlando/Cocoa Beach.  I recognized a few people up here from the Casual Banter fora, so you needn't travel far to find them.  Having now lived in LA for over 24 years, there are so many things I've yet to see and your post has now stimulated several ideas, including the Norton Simon and a Tibetan restaurant.  Thank you very much.

I have always enjoyed your journal posts and anticipate that you will have a fruitful search.  Please don't hesitate to ask if I may be of some service.

yours

Thank you, Tara - I very well may take you up on the offer - been in Pasadena for 4 1/2 years and still haven't made it to the Norton - or the Pacific/Asia (Asia/Pacific?) museums; on the other hand, I've been to the Getty quite a few times and love the LACMA, and have been to Huntington Gardens a couple of times, too. Descanso Gardens are on my "gotta get there soon" list, come to think of it.

I've only had one meal at the Tibet-Nepal House - had a head cold and can't recall a single thing I consumed but remember loving the space. Guess I need to go back.

Thank you, Yours. We were in east Pasadena and I worked at the Cape for several years, so I'm familiar with Cocoa and the environs. I'm really missing the land there as of late - used to love going to Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge and hiking for hours.

I'll be sure to give you a holler should I be in need of service or assistance.
