OK, I'll change the particulars to protect the innocent, so to speak, but she said she wanted something very similar to:

I'd like to be kept in an iron box 1 meter square, hooded and in close chains. I only want to be brought out to be tortured. I want to live life in extreme misery 24/7.

Now, I've been trained in the use of sensory deprivation, stress positions, sleep deprivation, etc. I can tell you first hand that you can turn someone, even someone who is trained to resist these things, into a pitiful something with the consistancy of jello in a relatively short period. Put a man in a 55 gallon drum full of water with a small breathing hole in the lid and whack the side with a hammer unexpectely every once in a while for a day or so and 9 times out of ten, the tough guy that went in will be crying for his mommy. When they teach you these things, they also teach you the signs to watch for so that you can tell when someone is about to lose it completely. If you push too far, you can cause damage that doesn't go away.

I cannot see anyone withstanding what this woman claims to want for very long at all (days, weeks at the most) without turning her into a shell of herself with a tenuous grip on reality at best. Does anyone have experience that would suggest that this can be done without doing harm? Has anyone really seen it or something like it done for longer than a very short period? My concern is that someone would take her up on this request, and not knowing what to look for, could push her way past the point where she would even think to say "no, stop" without really knowing what he was doing.

It has been my experience in so far as S&M play.. its often like bakers chocolate..

It looks so good, it smells so good, break a piece and the consistancy is perfect.. a big dark square of mouthwatering goodness.. till you take a bite then you want to puke.. its bitter, its terrible and you having experienced it once will never do so again.

Sometimes play is like that.. the idea is so fabulous.. it makes your breath come quickly, your pulse race, lil beads of sweat on your upper lip..never mind wet other places.. You use it in self stimulation.. and THEN someone says "yes I can do that for you" .. the anticipation.. you cant wait.. then they lay that fantasy open before you and gawd dang.. it freakin hurts, its hot and you cant breathe.. you cant move.. your limbs start to ache and cramp.. and its honestly physically painful never mind mentally anguishing.. and YOU HATE IT .. and your depressed.. your angry and your disappointed.. sometime wonderful concepts are just that and need to be left in the conceptual phase of development.

Leonidas,

You've been trained in this during the military, right? You perhaps then have one of the best form of training here then. You already have the answer to your original question I believe...

The important questions, imnsho, are:
- Why does she want this done to her?
- What demons is she trying to run away from?

I think before playing this little game one should try to understand the psychological factors why someone would want to go to such an extreme.

I agree 100%. I can see how this could be a yummy fantasy to escape reality. But if the woman got a glimpse of what she would become, she would probably never sign up for it.

I think this woman already has a tenuous grip on reality. Either she's ignorant or insane. Either way, her partner should figure this out pretty quick. Unless he's ignorant or insane. If he is too, it's a disaster.

Well it does sound like someone who doesn't have a full grip on reality, and doesn't know what sort of situation would do to her over a very short period of time.

It might well get her wet, and everything but I know full well that fantasy turned reality does not always work out as you thought or dreamed it would, in many cases far from it.

I think that you already have your answer from you "training" that you said you'd had, you already know the answer to the Q that you've asked.

Well, I certainly know what I think based on my background, as I said. The question wasn't purely rhetorical, though. I was curious as to whether anyone had ever seen someone so deeply masochistic that they would actually enjoy being treated that way.

There is a man locally who I think would fall into that deeply maso catagorey.... he has been involved in the scene for a very long time now and I think is sort of sensationed out so to speak.

Exactly the way that I would approach it too. I feel pretty comfortable that I could give her the "little kid in the closet with a box of cigars" experience without doing any permanent harm. I don't know how many of the lurkers out there reading profiles could do so safely though. PTSD, as you might know if you have ever been around someone (especially someone you care something about) who has it, isn't any fucking fun.

Yes, my training was government sponsored. I would imagine that Lawrence has some exposure to the same, even if its just training in how to resist it.

Yes, PTSD isn't any fun at all... Now to play at captive.. no hope of escape might be fun for a while, but the iron box? PTSD can be triggered really quickly, no matter how much training you've had. I know that I would not be able to tell that it was about to occur. I've had first hand experience observing it, and there is nothing like seeing a person looking like they are having an epileptic fit on the floor. Just from a thought or a build up of experiences. Not pretty, not pleasant at all. And although the knowledge base is growing, there still is a appalling lack of awareness. One would have to have lived in that one's shell for quite a while to be able to tell what kind of experience could trigger a person.

She might fall into the category of this sounds lusious. Or she might have experienced this real time as a child or young adult. And yes, I have been around a number of people who have post traumatic stress disorder. My age gives that away as far as the soldiers returning from VN. But I see it in others as well who were abused as children and have not been able to let go of the past. They actively seek out anyone who will give them the sensations again, or they run hard the other way. I agree a taste with a person who cared would be more acceptable. But unless they have the desire to change they will continue to seek out the extremes. Of course this is just my opinion. Sundew

Leonidas What you are seeking is a bit extreme play but the one thing you got to understand you could brake period. What you are requesting is what would be use to interrogate an enemy captured to brake their well. I have heard of some situation in sensory depravation tanks were people have gone too far. I have always told the young ladies what watch you wish for you could get it ten fold. I know one slave who wants to be buried in a coffin the back yard by her Master. I think this is too extreme but this is what she wants. There is a fine line between sane and insane so make sure you do not cross it.

I would have to agree with Sylverdawn on this. Many times people just really don't have a close enough grip to what the real experience would be like to properly judge their desires. I have someone I talk to regularly lately that states that she wants me to actually kidnap, rape, torture her for an unspecified ammount of time...something within my grasp but this was the context of her initial email to Me as well. People want to really feel things, they don't want to have to just play make believe...but the reality is I know better than to enact truth upon someone when the end result would be devestating. I won't be the one suckered into the easy prey on this one but she will find someone and she will regret it, and such is life. She isn't after a relationship or anything worthwhile of her time or mine, she just desires nothing more than to simply be totally and unavoidably violated....and these are the type that end up getting themselves killed.

Only one person genuinely ever freaked me out though...and that was in a semi-vanilla relationship, which mind you ended shortly after.
