Hello. As a forworn, I don't speak anything like I write. :-)

It's hard to know where to start...
- I like to watch baseball, and love to play softball. I used to do freestyle frisbee.
...in person, we can read each others' body language...
- I really enjoy learning about other cultures, but at the same time have a homely love for Americanese.
...start with a handshake, an exquisite touch of skin...
- Reading and writing are passions of mine. Sci Fi or Fantasy first, but anything goes.
...we can start with comments about the weather, City Name Sports Team, or the happenings of the day ("so, how about that federal deficit?")...
- More often than not, I spend my days playing video games, or hanging out with friends.
...we can seek common ground, pursue aligned interests, and leave behind dogged formalities...
- I enjoy the competition and raw vigor of sports and exercise, but only in community with other friends or acquaintances.
...we can blunder over words, not having time to type and retype, and in this simple thing, verbal communication, we are given an opportunity to forgive one another, to move along in the conversation even if a toe was stepped upon, or a word or thought didn't come out just right. We can smile...
- I love board games, RPGs, strategy and other mental challenge. I used to game (dice and paper Role Playing) quite a bit.
... not wanting to come in strong or silly, haughty or light, but earnestly desiring to know and be known, and to arouse in us an excitement for what could be.

I've known about this scene in my heart and mind since before I grew into a man. Hidden away, I've never allowed it to grow. I threw my desires into the dark of my mind for so long that, for a time, I feared them like something alien to me, freakish. But now I desire to understand them, to bring them into my heart's fire once again, and to let that bare, monstrous power drive me deeper into full life.
I love people. I love to know them, as best as one person can another with the five senses we've been given. I've come to this site to discover others like me, and unlike me at the same time. I want to find someone (or several someones) who has (have) had a similar dark passion, something they were told, even if only to themselves, was wrong. But, while I seek this, I do not desire someone with my same drives and desires. I seek someone on the other end of the compass. If I am the north they are the south, if I am the tallest mountain they are the depths of the greatest sea. In community-speak, if I am the Dom, they are the Sub. I very much want to meet and learn about people who are like and unalike me in these ways, to know the whos, whats, whens and whys. Hopefully, someday I will be able to share my story, too.
