Should there be a profile category on this website "just here to socialize on the boards, not looking for a sub/Dom"?
Is it obnoxious to be contacted by someone when you already have a Dom/sub?
Is it obnoxious to be rebuffed with a "I already have a Dom/sub" reply?

Isn't that what a profile is for?  There are many who are only here for the message boards and generally they have that stated in their profile. Not always, maybe, but generally.

Is it obnoxious to be contacted by someone when you already have a Dom/sub?
No.  If that were the case, it could be stated in the profile...."Not looking as I have a dom/me or sub/slave at this time."

Is it obnoxious to be rebuffed with a "I already have a Dom/sub" reply?
No.  If they didn't want a reply of interest, it would be in their best interest to state that in their profile.

This is usually why I ignore the people that write to me but take no time to read my profile.  If they did, they would know why I'm here and what I'm looking (or not looking) for.  If they choose not to read....tough luck for them.

I have made it clear in my profile that I am already owned and that Master wants me here to learn more and to socialize.  I get lots of emails from Doms/Masters that are looking for something...but I kindly reply that I am taken...and the majority or them will just want to write as a friend or else they will stop contact with me.  I have other subs/slaves that contact me for friendship as well...just be firm when you get a contact or just ignore the emails.  Good luck!

It's obnoxious to see the same posting from the same person in a multitude of places read the TOS, it will define the posting behaviors.

Most profiles, like Mine who don't want to be contacted, say so explicitly in clear words of the English language--however, I still get solicited at least 2-3 times a day from people who choose not to read, but rather to mass email or think THEY could change My mind especially male Dominants.

If someone contacted chezz to solicit him, he would let Me know immediately, a polite thanks but no thanks goes out, if they continue they get blocked--its that simple.

You have to remember here, you carry as much weight as your keyboard--no response is a response, a rebuff is a response, a block is a response.

Don't confuse Dominance with the terms: almighty or omnipotent.

My profile clearly says that I am owned so no category needed. All that is required is for others to READ what it says and take notice of it.

Yes it is rude to be contacted by someone when you are already owned.

Why should anyone find it obnoxious to reply with "I already have a Dom/sub" That is the answer I give to the continuing stream of messages I get from so called doms who claim to be so much better than my Owner. Bless

Greedy...you're not suppose to see the box marked "friends" behind the curtain, it ruins the whole question!

I have written to people who have relationships - not to insert myself into the relationship but perhaps to comment on something that they posted on the board or to give them a thumbs up on something in their journal.  I have gotten very kind responses in return.

Many do not take the time to read profiles before approaching someone.  While it may be exasperating it is part of being in a public forum.  That's what the block and delete buttons are for.

As previously mentioned, there is a category - "here for friends".  That doesn't mean that everyone will respect that.  You need to get used to that and not let people annoy you.

They do, you simply check the "Looking for friends only" option when you fill out your profile.

I talk to other folks on here no matter their orientation all the time.

I only find it obnoxious if they contact me looking for a sub or for sex. To me that states very plainly that they did not read my profile or they did and have zero respect for the fact that i am owned.

At that point they do receive the obnoxious i am owned reply.
