~fr~

Brings to mind a quote from the  film A Few Good Men. .."Truth... you can't handle the truth!" Never truer words were spoken and applicable to so much, even profile venues such as CM. It's only human nature to want to be told what what we want to hear, about ourselves and from others about themselves. As another poster above said about profiles..they are "marketing tools", ...advertising. That's all it is when all's said and done. People are flaunting a product on here...themselves. Just like with products advertised in commercials on tv, the benefits, the upside, the positive picture is created in order to make the audience accept, like and want the product. How many would buy a roll of brand name paper towels if somewhere in the commercial they said "oh, btw, x# of trees were cut down in order to make this roll"? And on this venue how many would run in horror from an otherwise great profile if the male or female said in it somewhere "oh, btw I have genital herpes and I stutter."?
I'm in agreement, the basics should forthright and honest, but beyond those it's probably the norm to paint yourself in as positive a light as possible and yeh even omit a few of the not so positive things. That's why it's good to ask questions of another your interested in, and whole lot of them.

Most want to see all of those things so they don't waste valuable time.  Besides it has been asked before in 1000 other ways.

I don't feel the need to lie about anything in my profile, simply because I don't have to.  Now, there is no way in hell I'm going to list my weight (only my doctor is privy to that info).

All of them, if I so choose.
Until you bother to get to know me, none of it is your business. I choose to include what I dont are if the whole world knows about me, and keep other things to myself. If you are interested enough to contact me and ask, then you might find out. However, there is no reason at all for anything having to do with my health, weight, height, measurements or those sorts of things to be available to the casual reader.

There's a difference between not lying and not wanting to tell personal details to the entire world. You don't want to reveal personal things until after you know if there's any chemistry? Then don't.

And if the other person believes differently, then that by itself is a sign of basic incompatibility.

Well if one is not looking, then it is definetly  no ones damn business.  I leave my profile very ambiguous because I don't care to go changing things when my tastes change.

Oh but I will happily tell anyone that does msg me with whip me or lick my feet bitch that they might want to rethink it since I am mentally insane and not allowed out by myself.
I'm not really lying, I just creatively word my clinical depression and panic disorder.

It generally get rids of anyone other than someone just wanting to make online friends.

And good lord, if I dared mention Im a pain slut and nympho I would have to make everything go to the buk folder.
I choose to omit those. *grins*

That is now reserved for the Adored Ones. *grin*
