I prefer the bedroom area to be quiet and restful, just have a nice sound system and music to fit the mood.  TV has a way of adding to the insomnia of late nights because there is an endless supply of crappy "entertainment" day or night.

We use our bedroom TV for two things--porn on occasion and the morning news while we have our coffee.

Same here!!

Ok, Well, I DO have a TV in my room, and my Xbox hooked up to it.  But that's really only for mornings when the UM wakes me up WAY too early, and I'm not ready to be up yet.  Then, He plays. I snooze. LMAO  Just makes it worse though honestly.

we own one television. its in the living room.

personally i like a TV in the bedroom because i have days that i am too sick/in pain to want to get out of the bed  and a little entertainment would be nice.  the couch is too narrow and too short to lie down on and be comfortable.  *shrugs*

computers and televisions arent in the bedroom here.  i WISH, however, that he would OK getting some curtains that make the room dark.  he wont, though, and my sleep is that much more fractured.

I would say if you are single and not in a serious relationship, then a TV in the bedroom is fine.  If you are in a serious relationship or have been married for less than 10 years, then do not put a TV in the boudoir.  It should be a place to focus on your partner and vice versa  (or whatever vice you both like).  The bedroom should be a stress free zone-- and the TV can cause stress in a relationship, believe it or not.  If you are married more than 10 years, then get the big screen HD-TV with the DVR so you can skip the commercials.

I donlt remember where I read it so feel free to consider this fluff, but I remember a stitistic that said somthing like people with a TV in their Bedroom are likely to have less sex due to the distraction.

With the TV in the room it gives you something other than Sleep and Sex to do there so it sounds like a Valid concept.

We got rid of the TV, put it in the Living Room and haven't missed it much.
