I thought I would ask...what do you like to see in a introductory email here?

IceyOne -> RE: Whats a good introduction? (1/21/2006 6:33:08 PM)

Well, since I am not really looking for anyone, it does not really matter. But, if I was....I would like to see something that was intelligent, humorous, and gave some insight into the person behind the words.

Hello, My name is Ron, I am interested in (your profile (NOT)) you because, yadda yadda yadda, I like many more things than I have checked boxes for; for instance, I collect stamps and have been doing so since I have been nine years old. I also ride three legged horses................

Be you, show interest, be real, be HAVE for fucks sake, and be pleasant.

Most people, when confronted with life and not trying to FORCE an impression come off fairly pleasant. Those drilling agendas in the brain of the unwashed and unconcerned multitudes will never be given any deeper thought that those sub-human particals that voted for the current administration and ensuing miasma.

It will be an experience, or it won't.

I greeted you here, remember?

Get it? Got it? Good!

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL,
Ron

LMAO...that is funny now

Me, I like to see someone who is not trying to impress me. I just want them to be themselves, be honest, be open...without all the frills that so many try to dress things up with.

Thanks for the feed back.

You are welcome, talmar.

Sincerely,
Ron

Talmar, don't let your special (Steeler Nation) thread die. I feel like I'm sorta propping it up over there by myself. Send in the reinforcements. I will meet you over there tomorrow am. Sometime after fixing my appetizer for the game.

About an introduction. I prefer someone who can read my profile and make a comment about it that makes sense or a mention of something they've read in it that they like. Be respectful and be real. Sooner or later someone, somewhere may possibly fit. ::shrugs::

talmar -> RE: Whats a good introduction? (1/21/2006 7:30:13 PM)

Thats one of my approaches. I look for common interests before ever contacting anyone. I am excited about the game. See you on the thread tommarow. Hpefully we will be celebrating a victory.

Talamar....

Every so often {since I've been here} this subject comes up. Without denigrating any of the well written tutorials by the ladies/men here, I would tell you that I simply despise following any type of ''canned introductions or guidlines''. They're contrived and often very impersonal.

My advice is to be spontaneous and creative{Not contrived} and let your natural personality flow..... If you're a smart, educated guy, it will come out; If you're a funny guy with a good sense of humor... it will flow.... Above all though... Be your original self brother.

The other thing I would mention.... is look into the eyes and tell yourself what you see, and then work from there.

And remember.... if your dealing with a dominant woman.... as long as she doesn't eat you or kill you, you're going to be alright! I'm quite sure you already know that though... LOL!

Just some honest thoughts....

I like vanilla introductions and discussions. It rubs me the wrong way when someone assumes I'm interested in their kink just because I happen to be kinky. I'm not, really.

I advise most subs to introduce themself the same way they would if meeting someone at a church social or out in a bar. You wouldn't take about your favorite sexual position within seconds after saying "hello" so don't talk about your kink either. Let me set the pace regarding how much I want to know. When I want to discuss what turns you on I'll ask. It doesn't hurt to say "I'd love to discuss kink with you sometime, but I'm going to wait for you to let me know when you want to do that" and leave it at that.

Of course, your mileage may vary.
