I have made leather floggers before...and did a very good job but have never been able to find the material used in the rubber floggers. Can anyone tell me what its called and where it could be purchased? Thanks, blushingrose

are you looking for the ones with the many strings or the flat tails?
The many strings one, from what Ive heard, you can simply cannibalize a bungee cord, which should have the right rubber strings inside.
The flat tails I think are made of neoprene rubber: a hard flat shiny, smooth rubber. And Im looking for it locally myself. You might have to special order it online. I don't want to order online....[:@]

One of the best rubber floggers I have come across was made with sections of the rubber tubing/stripping used to seal screen into doors and frames. Check the local hardware store for replacement screen, and the tubing/strapping should be in the same place.

Thank both of you for the information. I have a friend that has a b-day coming up...and would very much like to surprise her with a new toy....then get to use the new toy on her. OH THE JOYS IN LIFE...LOL Thanks... Susan/blushingrose

One of the best homemade floggers I've seen was made from a bike innertube, a keyring, and 8" of clear plastic hose.
