In case I haven't said it... boi's stock tip for the next decade...buy Ford stock (F). They just bought up a huge amount of their own debt and are a viable company that will be around for a long time. right now their stick is at $1.80 (as of 9:46 am EST) a share (where as 3 years ago they were at $15 something and in 97 they were at $35/share) buy now because it will bounce back big time. You'll likely see a return by the end of the year or the beginning of next year. stock boi

But looking at what you said the vehicle was almost 23 years old (or so)...I can't say that I've heard of a foreign vehicle standing up like that. I've noticed that too... and the foreign vehicles that are that old generally tend to be owned by people with loads of money

Serious...I had $30 a couple of weeks ago and bought and it'll be low through the beginning of the summer which will allow me to buy a couple hundred shares...I'm doing it. As far as I can tell it's likely to be the best investment that can be made by "poor-ish" folk (as I describe myself). Ford is already working on reorganization and debt management and haven't borrowed a penny yet from the gov't. They're also in the design process of something to compete with lower priced, more fuel efficient, vehicles of foreign automakers here in the US. Not to mention of the big three Ford has had the least issues with the UAW and has successfuly renegotiated with them based on economic concerns without cutting the pentions of their retirees. I kinda feel like I have to support that. boi

I'm actually hoping it will fall again before I want to buy this summer so that I can get more cheaper and will have have something when it comes back. I know a former dealership owner who waited to spend her savings on the stock until Nov last year (when it was $1.01 a share) and bought as much as she could. So far she's almost doubled her money. I wanna be on that boat... boi
