Yesterday I was rummaging round my old jewellery box and found an old ear cuff that I used to wear when I was at college.
It is one that has a stud for your pierced ear and the cuff that you pinch closed higher up your ear with a chain running between the two.

It was after I cleanned it and tried it on again that I noticed an extremely delicious feeling.
I had pinched the cuff part on and where it was gripping my ear it had made it go all warm and tingly. It made me smile and remember who I am.
I tugged on the chain a little and felt the heat change to a small sting, oh it was yummy!!

Anyway...

My question is this...

Has anyone had an item that can cause the same sort of reaction??
I know collars do it as a rule, but I was wandering if anyone else gets little buzzes from other items

Items that give me a general nostalgic buzz:

Various books I own.
Various video games I own.
Trophies, awards, newspaper clippings, letters, etc.

Certain smells will do the same thing.  The smell of wood burning during the winter time always takes me back and reminds me of Christmas.  A certain scent of handsoap will remind me of Elementary School.

Things that never fail to make me smile and start thinking about my Owner include:
Vlad, my stuffed fox (He wears the remains of the first version of my collar)
Certain articles of clothing, everything from certain shirts she's given me to certain pairs of panties she's bought for me.
The smell of pomegranates

Just a few that quickly sprung to mind,
DV's Fox

My home is filled in visual distance with all the things that do that--I came to learn that hiding them away made Me sad--so I keep them close.

I entered the convent at the age of 14 (my choice).  On my first visit home,  my brother was driving me home and casually asked how i was. I burst into tears ventilating how strict and regimented everything was, and that I didnt think I could stay there any longer.  He compared it to the military, and to hang in there and tough it out.  The next week,  he sent me a book "Johnathon Livingston Seagull".  I cherish that book because it had brought me so much insight.  When i graduated our theme and motto was .."our race to learn has just begun"....from that book.   I left the convent years later,  but,  never forgot the power that book has, nor the lessons  I learned from "toughing it out" at the convent.

The picture of my Sweets that is on my phone as my wallpaper.  He's looking right into my eyes when I look at it.  It was at a friend's house when we were just hanging out and enjoying some time together.  It does so much for me.

His class ring.  Just knowing that some day, it will be replaced by a wedding ring makes me feel wonderful.

Anything that smells like His cologne.

The pictures of my ex and I when I was pregnant.  We were so happy... ::sigh::

My son's stuffed blue dog that His dad baught Him when He was just wee little, that he wouldn't go anywhere without.

The smell of hazelnut makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

The CDs of Don Williams and K.T. Oslin make me think of Christmas time when my brother and I were little.  We would clean the house, and set up the Christmas decorations with my mom while listening to them.

Smelling fresh baked anything reminds me of weekends when I was younger and my mom would wake me up in the morning to help her bake.  We mostly did it because she wanted an escape from my dad, and thier fighting, but it was still wonderful to look forward to.

Chocolate chip cookies make me think of my Sweets too, but that is a private joke.  He would be laughing if He knew I was talking about it. lol

My gran died when I was in my mid teens and I still miss her every single day. I keep a picture of her in my purse and every time I open it I see her face smiling at me (it's the only one I actually have as all the others are with my mother) and my chest tightens.

Also in my purse I keep a card from a florist which accompanied a beautiful bouquet from someone special in my life some years ago - some of the flowers I've kept pressed between the pages of a rather hefty dictionary/thesaurus.

I had kept all of my son's milk teeth, his first stitches, the card that was given to me on the day he was born with his height, weight, the time of birth, etc... and the scab from the very first fall he had. I no longer have any of those items due to the careless actions of an old friend of mine, sadly.

I have several pieces of valuable jewellery that have considerable sentimental attachment which will be passed along to my son when the time is right for him to have them.

I have a feeling you were looking for more kinky nostalgia...

Certain smells, of cologne, of Old Spice deodorant, make me absolutely melt.
When I first "found" and finally had names for all this, I had a pair of silver chain bracelets I would wear on each wrist. It reminded me of how happy I was with me, who I am, and what I'm into.
And I honestly can't really look at any blatantly phallic object without grinning and pulling up some memory of having played with it.

More so yes... but I must admit the responses here are wonderful and have made me pause to think.

I have his aftershave here which he gave me to spray on my pillow when he's not here... funnily enough it makes me sleep better.

I think we've gotten off of the sort of 'special' feeling that this was orrigonially <spelling> was intending.  Mine for me is actually a little scar on my forarm, I ussually forget that it's there, but every now and then I'll notice it, when I touch it, I remember just exsactly <spelling> how I came to be where I am, the mentality of my submission, my powerlessness over somethings, and it indeed gives me a warm feeling, more of a remembering what I have and what I could not have I think.  It's not a physical reaction but it is certianally an intense one.
