Does anyone know what the little red (block) hand at the bottom of each post mean? How does one get it on? I notice mine don't have it, while all others do. *shaking my head* Must have done something wrong.

Not sure why you dont have one but its to block some peoples posts from showing on your screen.

This is a way to block yourself from having to read member's posts. Certain members can be annoying or idiotic and you may not wish to subject yourself to their ramblings. Once you block a member, his/her messages will be invisible to you.

You probably don't see it because I don't think you can, erm, block yourself!

you cannot block your own, only others--the capability only exists for others.

to my knowledge, the blocked person doesn't know they are blocked on the boards as they would if they tried to send an email and you have them blocked there, too. i can't confirm it, as the person i've blocked, i've blocked everywhere. now, if there were just a way to get the name out of sight as well (it only blocks their post, not their name)

lovely thing the mods put up, those block features. kudos to the mods.

If there is a poster who bothers you in some way and you do not wish to read anything they write, you click on the red hand, which blocks you from seeing thier posts.

You cannot see one on your post, because you cannot block yourself.

The only way to know if someone is blocking you on the forums is for the person to announce it, seems rather elementary to me, but some will announce " I blocked you" nah nah.

This just landed here, but frankly I think the little red hand means you can stop the person from masturbating.........

I am sure that mine is not poked very often, but then I try not to post so much that someone could do it to me...........
