If you make Mead let me know.

Bitter's Delightful Summer Mead.  And the funny think most people at RenFaire would actually get the Name.

Considering that I'm about to start bottling a 10 gal batch of Mead (5gal straight, 5gal Apple Anice) - that's Not a bad idea for the labling on mine!!  (Especially for the Apple Anice batch, as Apple is traditionally considered a "summer" fruit.)

GT - in a couple of weeks, once I'm back from this upcoming week long event that I'm going to, I'm going to be starting my next batch - which should take about 2 1/2 months to be ready to bottle.  I'm doing this as a "fall special" batch - Pumpkin Spice.  (Pumpkin Puree` and a cheesecloth full of clove, ginger, cinnamon, and alspice added about half way through the brewing process.)

If it turns out well, would ya like me to set a bottle aside for you to ship for Christmas?

Heh - ya got a point there, GT.

I'm investing in more carboys (the giant glass bottles - not young male carhops - get yer minds outta the gutter!) so that I can do several batchs at once.  I'm getting 10 bottles of 350ml each per gallon, and the carboys each produce about 5 1/2 gallons after clarification and siphoning.  Each batch gets 10 bottles set aside to "age" in bottle on a back shelf - for things like gifting to Crown at SCA events, bribing the gate guards at SCA events, bartering for various things, birthday presents, etc.  The otehr 45 bottles per batch - for drinking.  (Finally invested in a corker today when I went by the brew shop that's close to home - makes it Much easier to get the mead properly stoppered, which takes a cork rather than the caps like beers do.)

Okay, I have to say that I am a recovering Addict and don't drink anymore, not fall down drunk like I used to anyway. But each year I'll drink a Horn of Mead since I moved to Utah I have found that process difficult at best.

I miss my Mead.

See I have certain triggers when it comes to addiction, Alcohol wasn't one of them, I do however stay from bars as it is the people in them that can be triggers to me.

It is always funny when someone who knows I am in recovery sees me drink mead and assume I fell off the wagon.

When I am in a Seedy Hotel Snorting lines of coke or meth off a call girls tits while trying to find a vein then they have reason to worry, a Hone of Mead a year is far from where I used to be.

Recently, I've begun brewing beer at home.  Now, I'm looking for a label for my bottles.  I want to use the acronym BDSM but I'm not coming up with anything particularly clever.  So far, I've come up with Beer Deserves Serious Malt  (I'm mostly brewing maltier beers as I'm not a hophead).  However, I really think that is kinda lame...lol.  So, if any of you creative folks have some suggestions I'd love to hear from you!

If I use your acronym, as a thank you, I will send you a 22 oz bottle of my first batch when it is finished fermenting and a bottle of a future batch that I think tastes good for its style.  My first batch is an Apricot Pale Ale on the maltier side of pale ales.

Thanks in advance for your creativity, and please by all means be outrageous, but keep it in context with beer.

"Slut".

"I'd like a slut, please...now".

(5% on anything over a case....my people will get in touch with your people).

Steel, I understand.  I have a couple of friends in the medieval group who are pretty much T-Totalers, other than once a year at a very Specific camping event (Samhain, to be exact) they will have exactly 1 mug/horn of Mead - half of which is drunk by them, the other half of which is poured out in "offering" to the spirits of those amongst our numbers who have passed away during the previous year.

As of now, it is a tie between "Best Damn Stuff Made" and  "Better Drink Some More".  Unless another, better suggestion, is made I'm going to choose one of these two names.  Thank you, everyone, for your input.  This has been a great help to me.

Lookie, Slut might become a beer name, but I had already thought of that .

Gimp,  I'm going to try my hand at graphics first.  If I have too much difficulty I may very well contact you for some help.  Do you have any graphics you've created that you could show me so I can see the type of work you are capable of?

Since I'm undecided as to which of the two names above I'm going to use, I'd like to give both Greedy and Summer a 22 oz bottle of my brew (it still has about a month before fermenting is complete).  If the two of you would email an address on the other side where I can send the bottles, I'll be sure to get them out to you as soon as they are ready.  When I do choose the name, that person will receive the second bottle of a future brew as promised earlier in this thread.

Rhi - I'm not corking my beer yet, but when I do some more advanced brews I'll be corking them and waxing them.  Any tips?

Greedy, yes, the apricot was requested by my SO, he loves apricots and with spring right around the corner it sounded yummy!

Feline, once I create the label I will post a link for all to view.

Thanks so much for the suggestions so far.

SummerWind,

I was unable to locate your profile to send you a C-Mail.  I chose your suggestion for my label.  I'd like to send you a bottle when the Apricot Pale is finished fermenting.  Please contact me to let me know where you would like it shipped.

Everyone else who made suggestions, if you'd like to try it as well, let me know.  I will be happy to send you a bottle also, if you provide the shipping costs.

Those who were interested in seeing the label for my beer may take a look at the Apricot Pale's label which is now in my profile pictures.  The label is "Better Drink Some More", the beer is "Humbler".
