The things that make me feel submissive towards a dominate male are as follows.
  • His pure masculinity in all things and ability to instantly contract attention.
  • His words, be they kind or not kind but my knowing they are in my best intrest.
  • His love and passion for life and his property. 
  • His touch, firm or gentle would make me submit beneath it.
  • His ability to teach me my place, at his feet or behind him following at his side. 

It is not nessicarily about sexual discourse but about the individual for me.  There is plenty in play that makes a submissive or slave feel submissive but it's more about WHY they feel that way and not how the feeling is adminsitered to their body but to their mind.

i love when He grabs a handful of my hair.....calls me "lil pet".....or delivers His special brand of humiliation....they all make me feel more submissive.  Serious real-life insults, and He NEVER does this, would just piss me off and i'd be very NON-submissive.

I do not completely have the same feelings as you do. Yes, warmth, attentiveness is important but humiliation, degradation, some pain are defenitely things I need as well to be more submissive.

What turns me off, when Master whines about small pains, the fact that he cannot seem to quit smoking and is still not working out as promissed. But on the other hand those are the moments that I understand that he is more than Master, he is also my husband and human.

i am an older male submissive,and yes for me the desire to serve an other, and the humiliation ,degrading that i need.it may be time to hang um up , an older sub is not much in demand

I definetly agree with all of these. Other things that make me feel more submissive is the handfull of hair, bondage, being told or asked who I belong to or what my purpose is. Orgasm control/denial and humiliation tend to have mixed results. Things that tend to make my unsubmissive/aggressive/bitchy are denial of sex or any pleasure, nagging (which Master does not do fortunately), and being put into a sitution where I am more knowledgeable or need to instruct.
