I smile because I am happy.
I make eye contact because I am fascinated by eyes.
I watch bodies because I find them to be incredibly transfixing.

I smile at men I don't know because I'm a naughty girl thinking naughty thoughts about complete strangers. Usually it's an eye-lock, then a slow smile and then they blush. Almost like they can read my mind.

Thank you for the compliments.*Blush, stupid grin, blush, stupid grin, blush* I don't know where to put my face.

But they're never, ever looking at me when they're smiling. This is what makes me believe that they're just smiling inside, at some thought or another. It's honestly made me wonder at times whether women actually go around feeling happier than men do - though, I do think there's something to be said for the view that women are 'brought up' to smile more, while men are brought up to look blank.

But, but . . .

Supposing they were looking at me?

Per Lockit's advice . . .

Well smile back... walk a bit slower and give a second look... not stare... just in case... you know? I smile for all sorts of reasons... mostly not about an open fly though... well unless he is mine and I get to do more than tell him to close it.

I've tried doing that, but it's unbelievably difficult. Almost by second nature I look away if someone looks at me. Doesn't everyone do this? Yet, old friends have told me that I've walked right past them earlier in the day and not seen them - and that I'm somewhat weird in that way.

It's so hard to change the habit. Next time, maybe I'll just turn round and say, "Hoy, you, were you looking at me?" Two birds with one stone: a) I'll get my answer and b) they'll conclude, correctly, that I'm somewhat disturbed.

Um, Peon... I think you need a visit to the States and to spend at least a month with me so that I can help you with this issue and take you out and about... hehe... showing you the art of flirtation and many other much needed things in life.

I don't take rejection well... so you must not say no... first lesson! And I don't like waiting in lines... so... hehe Me first! ( I get to break rules because you know... the all powerful dominant thingy.)

i am always smiling...humming, perhaps even doing a few dance steps. I talk to everyone, and it is very rare that they do not smile and talk back to me

Generic dude and I have been known to sing and dance, to *cringe* disco *cringe* in the grocery store. This usually involves the tossing of multiple food products at one another, and the entertainment of those that have the misfortune of being in the grocery store at the same time.

Yanno, I think women are thinking happier thoughts... We KNOW if they person we are smiling at has a chance at gettting laid. From what i hear, men *wonder* if they are getting chatted up, women know when they are and know when they are doing it (unless you are clueless like me and just happen to be interested in people and get to talking and suddenly M pops up and jabs me in the ribs and reminds me that showing that much interest in another human looks a lot like flirting)

A female friend of mine says that women smile more because we have so many choices when it comes to vibrators these days. She was 75 when she told me that....

That's absolutely true, Fey, in my experience and that of the men I know. It's quite odd. All I really know about being chatted up by women, when it's happened (fingers of one hand), is that I've started to feel awkward. I've registered that the conversation between the woman and me, in some inexplicable way, has tripped me up. I think, as a male, you just don't register what's going on until some time later.

Even now, the average male brain is simply not primed to expect the experience of being chatted up. If a woman's done a chat up on me, it's been like a tickle in the ribs that's been so fast I've barely noticed it's happened.

i don't walk around with a dirty great grin on my face, but try not to wear a frown either, not for other folks benefit, but because it helps me feel upbeat.

When i make eye contact with someone, anyone, i smile at least, it all depends on how the contact makes me feel inside. A smile costs nothing, and could go a long way to making someone else feel better about the day.

Gawd, it's better than looking at miserable people all over the place, isn't it?

Everybody has seen 'Cool Hand Luke', subangi. Paul Newman's egg-eating marathon is indelibly etched on my brain. I don't remember a lot of smiling in the film.

I must remind you that I live in the UK. Apparently, the only place in the world in which the opposite sexes smile at each other less is Finland. There, women and men are so stand-offish with each other that the population level has dropped to critical levels. The government organises free dances - because it's only during dancing that men and women will even talk to each other, let alone smile.

LOL...I did say I wasn't a sadist, but that I was discovering this lil bit of a sadist when it came to mental games or mind fucks when someone has been bad. So maybe I am growing into my twue sadist nature... hummmm....

Now I do recall... us talking about tools... I would think a tool belt might be just the thing... although.. that top hat might come in handy too! For you I might give up my fetish for black silk boxers! hehe

In the UK, "flashing" someone is slang for indecent exposure. I had an image there of American women regularly whipping open their blouses to men that they found attractive on passing them in the corridor. Please tell me that this is incorrect?
