softness -> RE: Do submissives ever ask for a collar? (3/9/2009 2:12:28 PM)

I am currently at the beginning of new relationship ... we are still seeing how we sit with eachother and because He is head of a poly household ,... how I sit with the rest of His family and they with me.

If the time comes when we can look to a future together I will petition to be considered for a collar, based on that petition He will either grant me one or not.

Do what works for you in your dynamic, don't follwo what you see around you just because you see it around you ... that's not the path to happiness in this lifestyle.

MasterK and I had discussed collars and what we felt their significance was. We knew after about 1 1/2 years that he would one day want to collar me. At that time the physical collar wasn't important to me, the psychological collar was very real (and still is).

We continued talking about it, and in December '08, he decided it was time, so we ordered it. I got to choose what it looked like. I would never have felt comfortable asking for it, it would be offered by him when he thought the time was right. That turned out to be 3 1/2 years exactly.

This sounds so petty after such a touching glimpse into your life...

Please use the return button more often. Please please. I want to read what you have written but my eyes give up after about 15 unending lines. Take pity on me and please use the return key. I don't even care how appropriately you use it, just for the love of good cookies, please put a paragraph or a break in there somewhere.

****Yes I am working on the caffeine thing folks, I really am***********

Yes, sometimes an s-type asks for a collar.  I didn't overtly use those words but in a conversation with someone I was behaving in submission to (I no longer refer to the individual as a Dominant as they are not), I made that desire clear.  What kept that collar from around my neck was acquiesence to the wishes of the other in his life who was threatened by me.  He made it clear that were it his choice (Which, as the D-type, in theory, it should have been), that he'd have placed such around my neck.

thank you SOOoo much. I really want to follow what you say and answer or help or just lend a shoulder. and I feel like I and cheating or something when i copy your post and pop it into word and reformat it (making it sort of my words not yours) and THEN read it.

I hate to be a language nazi, but i would also feel terrible NOT reaching out if i have something that might be of use or help to you because the writing style is so hard to work with.
