Ah, I have a new Love...the cane... My Lady introduced me to it this weekend with just a little taste, and then last night when we counted 30. This morning I have delicious stripes on me and one glorious welt on my lower left leg. Stingy and burny...fabulous...[;)] So thought I would start a topic to talk about canes and what people like or don't like about them! Types of canes, games with canes...caning experiences...you get the idea.... My Lady enjoys playing a game with canes of various thicknesses where the sub is blindfolded and guessing which cane produced which stroke. It would be another count game and if you get it wrong, it doesn't count to the total... We saw a flexible plexiglass (or somesuch material) cane/paddle hybrid at a club recently that looked simply wicked. It was about 20 inches long like a cane, and an inch wide and 1/4 inch thick...very flexible and whippy...looked like it would hurt like the dickens and leave a nice raised welt of the shape. Cheers! I have riding crops and Parelli Carrot sticks. Also studded belts, leather paddles. In a pinch a switch off a tree trimmed of leaves works wonders if you're into all that. THAT will produce some welts and even draw blood if you want. An extension cord is anther option for those who are interested. But that is severe! I don't use the last 2 personally.

[:)] some pain i really get off on, and there are others i detest. the cane is one i just do not like [:(] Sir has a bamboo one.........it is used for punishment. there are two aspects of it i do not like, it hurts like hell, and i don't like to be punished (punishment means i've failed/let him down in some way), the latter is harder to deal with, more so than the pain the cane brings to my bare arse. then again if i was getting off on it, it wouldn't be punishment, but more a reward [:D]

Love having the bottoms of my feet caned among other places. Have had thick to really thin canes used on all the usual areas. I have an intense love/hate relationship with them. Thinner ones are so super stingy and I love to hate them grin.

I have a fiberglass splinter I got while building a kite. It's clear, and I couldn't find/remove it. This was 10 years ago. Every now and then, when I rub my finger JUST right, I still get the feel of a fresh splinter. When you said plexiglass cane, the first thing I thought of was a nice clear splinter in the ass. Columns are better suited to vertical pressure, not lateral. The human femur is stronger than steel for vertical force, and weak as wood for lateral force. I always assumed wood was a choice material for canes due to its flexibility and "safe break" qualities. If bamboo breaks, it simply collapses into a string of fiber, and goes limp... I'm not saying newer materials can't work... I guess I'm just warning, quite off topic, don't think any stick is a cane.

We also have one of the plexiglass canes...however, it's a legit toy, not a curtain rod we pulled off. It's specially made for the purpose, much like glass insertibles aren't the kind that will go ::shatter::. I'm a fan of canes. Although they're more intense than I generally like, sometimes they can be delicious. However, not even canes leave makes on me...no fair!

In general, canes are one of my favorites. Mistress has two sets, one set made from delrin and the other from bamboo (I think). They feel very different, but I like them both. I especially like the thin stingy ones as they don't seem to bruise. In my experience canes can be pleasurable or extremely painful depending on the type, size and how hard one is being hit. A few months ago, Mistress used one of the delrin canes on me. She didn't hit the same spot twice and I still felt like my ass was on fire where the cane struck. I'm not sure which thickness she used, but that was a toy best suited for punishment (that was one that I would never look forward to!). However, it did leave welts that reminded me of her every time I sat down for a few days [:D]. I have a love / hate relationship with the cane. A bad experience when i was a newbie, crack across the ankle bone, had them on my hard limit list for quite a while. The my ex Sir used canes for punishment with me and i grew to respect them although i still didn't like them. Unless a cane is splitting my skin i find them annoying and irritating to be honest. If they are splitting my skin well a cane is all good for me. [:D]
