I saw on Penn & Teller's B***S***, that there is also this ball-looking thing that guys can wear to create a "new" foreskin for themselves.  It was an interesting episode.

Quote from wiki about this:

Nonsurgical foreskin restoration, accomplished through tissue expansion, is the more commonly used method of foreskin restoration. Both the skin of the penile shaft and the mucosal inner lining of the foreskin, if any remains after circumcision, may be expanded.
The skin is pulled forward over the glans, and tension is applied manually, by using weights, or by using elastic straps. In the second two cases a device must be attached to the skin; surgical tape is often used. An example of a device using elastic straps is the T-Tape method, which was developed in the 1990s with the idea of enabling restoration to take place more rapidly. Many specialized foreskin restoration devices that grip the skin with or without tape are also commercially available. Tension from these devices may be applied by weights or elastic straps, by pushing the skin forward on the penis, or by a combination of these methods.
The amount of tension produced by any method must be adjusted to avoid causing injury, pain or discomfort, and provides a limit on the rate at which new skin can be grown. There is a risk of damaging tissues from the use of excessive tension or applying tension for too long. Websites about foreskin restoration vary in their recommendations, from suggesting a regimen of moderate amounts of tension applied for several hours a day[9], to recommending periods of higher tension applied for only a few minutes per day.[10][11]
Tissue stretching has long been known to stimulate mitosis, and research shows that regenerated human tissues have the attributes of the original tissue.[12] Unlike conventional skin expansion techniques, however, the process of nonsurgical foreskin restoration may take several years to complete. The time required depends on the amount of skin available to expand, the amount of skin desired in the end, and the regimen of stretching methods used. Patience and dedication are needed; support groups exist to help with these (see External links section). The act of stretching the skin is often described informally as "tugging" in these groups, especially those on the internet.

I just have one simple question that no male is able to answer. How the hell can a man miss something which was removed shortly after birth????

SteelofUtah -> RE: For men who feel like they are missing something (3/11/2009 10:07:57 PM)

Some people don't have them removed then there are lots of men who have it done later in life when some women comment on why their penis looks different.

My Older Brother did, When asked how he feels about it no longer being there.

lol im sure it is.
Never missed it never worried about it.

beargonewild -> RE: For men who feel like they are missing something (3/11/2009 10:25:29 PM)

I know what you're getting at Steel. I'm referring to men who were circumcised shortly after birth and as adults they whine and blame their parents for having that done! Me that never bothered me as I can't miss what I never had so what's the point in me wanting to restore a foreskin.

SteelofUtah -> RE: For men who feel like they are missing something (3/11/2009 10:28:16 PM)

I was circumsized at birth and I held my sons hand when he had his done.

It was a Bonding Experience.

I had it done because mine is done and just perfer the practice. I know there are lots of people who get all uppity and raw about the practice but fuck if I care it's too late to put it back on even if I cared what they thought.

Aylee -> RE: For men who feel like they are missing something (3/11/2009 10:28:31 PM)

So, does anyone have any links to where I could find a prosthetic umbilical cord.  Maybe a placenta also.  I lost mine at birth, and it has really been bothering me.  I think that I might just be able to blame every less than perfect thing in my life on their loss.

Can anyone help me out?

SteelofUtah -> RE: For men who feel like they are missing something (3/11/2009 10:30:16 PM)

Aylee I do happen to know there is a group of people who believe in eating it.

If you want I think I can get you in contact with a Mother who wished to share her meal?

Steel,

I am not now nor have I ever been a Cannibal, "concealed" or otherwise. Moreover, I have never been a supporter of Cannibalism, its practioners or leaders. I have never in public or private, in oral or written statement, endorsed Cannibalism, espoused its cause or supported its ends. Its tactics and its dietary philosophy and objectives are, and always have been, repugnant to me.

Shadow-tiger -> RE: For men who feel like they are missing something (3/11/2009 11:05:37 PM)

All I can think of is the detachable penis.

LinnaeaBorealis -> RE: For men who feel like they are missing something (3/11/2009 11:20:42 PM)

It's so thoughtful that they made it in Caucasian pink "and now in mid-brown".  That won't be at all detectable on a black penis, nope nope!!

MadAxeman -> RE: For men who feel like they are missing something (3/11/2009 11:54:04 PM)

I think they are called 'Dubyas'

SilverMark -> RE: For men who feel like they are missing something (3/12/2009 3:05:25 AM)

Am I supposed to miss it? Hell, never knew I did't have one until I was much older and then I thought something was wrong with those guys in gym class.

It has been known for some hospitals in the UK (pre 80s) to encourage women to consume their placentas and I'm sure it goes on in some cultures today. Bet you're glad you asked now [:D]

I don't want a SNACK!  I just want to feel "whole" again.  I am not Jeff Dahmer.

MissMorrigan -> RE: For men who feel like they are missing something (3/12/2009 8:24:14 AM)

You don't have to eat it, just use it as a comforting 'squeeze' bag.
