Perhaps? It would be interesting, but I don't think it would actually do anything for soreness. :D

MarksFantasyGirl -> RE: Best Spa Ever. (3/11/2009 8:39:50 PM)

I'd be MORE tense walking out of there than when I went in! lol

SteelofUtah -> RE: Best Spa Ever. (3/11/2009 8:42:36 PM)

I wonder if they have rules about what you can do with the snakes?

I mean can yuou imagine what the To Do/Not to Do list looks like in a place like that?

I don't care if they are non-venomous. They still have fangs! No way.

Christinestill -> RE: Best Spa Ever. (3/12/2009 3:21:22 AM)

i wonder if it tickles.

purepleasure -> RE: Best Spa Ever. (3/12/2009 3:48:10 AM)

the smaller snakes probably do tickle.  however, i won't be visiting this spa, thank you very much.

SavageFaerie -> RE: Best Spa Ever. (3/12/2009 4:48:31 AM)

Now myself..I would so do that. But I happend to have owned many snakes over the years mega big and small.
I think it would be an interesting sensation and all in all I like the feeling of a snake and how they move.

Call me a freak....but if one isnt scared it does have its appeal.

Christinestill -> RE: Best Spa Ever. (3/12/2009 4:57:29 AM)

faerie, i'm one who thinks snakes are cool too, maybe because of the lack of 8 legs rofl.  i have a pic that my then hubby took of me at a pet store holding a python in my arms like a child.  he put it in a frame next to a pic of me holding one of our kids in the exact same manner...too funny.  i just don't think i'd be able to handle that many at once on my bare skin.

plus, i'm overly ticklish, i probably wouldn't be able to hold still.

perhaps for me it would be giggle therapy. [:D]

SavageFaerie -> RE: Best Spa Ever. (3/12/2009 5:03:21 AM)

Hey giggle therapy would be positive Christine. I would think

The largest one we had were our two Bermase pythons.  The female was of the albino variety so a gorgegous tangerine and cream. 14 ft and over 100 pounds before she was 1 year old.  But she was so gentle. We got her when she was the size of a small garter snake having just been born.

Snakes are my daughters favorite animal.

I guess when you grow up around different kinds of animals, your less likely to be afraid of them.  They grew up used to different types of non domestic animals.

Don't snakes like warm spots? I don't think they would be particuarly bitey if the person was relaxed and still.

BossyShoeBitch -> RE: Best Spa Ever. (3/12/2009 5:09:59 AM)

Maybe I'm missing something, but how would they get deep enough to make it be an actual massage?
What's the benefit of having rodents walk on the soles of your feet?  What if you got very ticklish and jumped?  Poor things would really go for a ride!

I was just thinking it would be great early training for Fear Factor!

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Best Spa Ever. (3/12/2009 6:38:17 PM)

I love snakes, but how would having a cold animal sucking up your heat be relaxing?

Aylee -> RE: Best Spa Ever. (3/12/2009 6:44:14 PM)

Maybe if you have a fever, Lady H?

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Best Spa Ever. (3/12/2009 6:45:40 PM)

HEY!  They would have to pay ME, a feverish human would be a snake's best pal!

hejira92 -> RE: Best Spa Ever. (3/14/2009 5:49:37 AM)

From the pictures, those snakes were mostly corn snakes. These are very friendly, quick moving snakes.  I guess they use these because if you put something like a ball python on your back, it would curl up and hang out. (I've taken long walks with mine just hanging around my neck, they're so mellow.)  Also, in well acclimated snakes biting is highly unlikely to occur.

Snakes moving about on your body IS a cool sensation and I could see how many of them at once would be relaxing, but a massage? For $70? I think not.

DesFIP -> RE: Best Spa Ever. (3/14/2009 6:44:10 AM)

I read the name and backed out without looking at the pictures.

Cluck, cluck, yup I'm a chicken. [:D]

Rainfire -> RE: Best Spa Ever. (3/14/2009 8:09:34 AM)

[&o]  I'm not a chicken, I'm just flat out phobic about snakes. Have been ever since a baby rattler was thrown in my face in school. Wanna see me levitate? Put one near me on the ground. My feet won't touch the floor for a good 50'....
