Is there a way to fix the fuzzy side of the velcro strip without replacing it? Some way of rejuvenating it? I think the hook side is still functioning properly. I just do not want to take the bag in and get a new strip sewn on. I would have to pay more than I did for the actual bag.

Nobody here knows how to do this? I was under the impression that it could be done. It is for a laptop bag. I only paid $8.00 for the bag (so I bought 12 of them to resell). I figure it will cost more than that to take it in and get a new piece sewn on, and for the seven dollars it is hardly worth it.

Velcro pads come with self stick glue too. Perhaps you can affix this to another area of the bag to close it. If you can, remove the old velcro, and attach the new one. If the pressure on the closure is not a lot, the glue will work. If there's too much weight, you may need to sew it on too. I've used velcro with glue a few times, but seem to always have to sew the ends on. I made ankle restraints with velcro, and have no problem at all with them....after sewing through the glue. Yeah but it's really not worth the time or effort. You can clean it and scrub it real good. If that's not working, you can glue or sew a thin strip of velcro down the middle. If that's the case, you might as well replace the damn thing and look for a higher grade of velcro while you are at it. Either way, velcro just like other things aren't made to last forever.

I'll never sew threw self adhesive velcro. I'm not that massochistic on myself. You can always buy non adhesive.

The velcro on this one is just sewn on I think. Maybe I can take the idea of removing it with one of those thread pulling things and glue a piece on in it's place. There is no weight on it, it is just a flap for the front pouch. It is actually fine the way it is, but I would like to fix it if I could do it cheaply enough.

I do not know how to sew at all though, so it is either the self stick version of it if I can find some or nothing I suppose.

you can buy velcro for 2.99. use hot glue or superglue or even epoxy to replace it. Use the non adhesive kind, as adhesive backed doesnt support much
