If the "chainmail" refers to a sling type arrangement I'd say it sounds like fantasy. Any time a large surface area of conductor is brought into direct contact with the skin it decreases the effect of an electrical charge. That's why I use TENS pads in connection with my stun gun play. The larger area of the pad reduces the chances of a burn and allows me to use much longer "jolts" than the little pins on the gun itself.

One exception of this is violet wand play, wearing a fabric having metallic threads but in this case the fabric isn't pressed against the flesh as would happen with a suspended body in a sling.

A chain or aluminized pom-pom electrical-whip works best when it can come into direct contact with flesh.

i have never heard of that...sounds interesting.

i do have a chain mail shirt, but i have been told it hurts her hand to hit me with it on, so i always have to take it off, but that's not bad either :)

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: playing chain mail (1/24/2006 6:06:38 AM)

I know I've played in chain mail a lot and it's really awesome. I have a chain mail chemise that has crystal beads all over it that gives the most awesome sensations when dragged over someone...

And yeah I want a green chainmail flogger

MrBiguun51 -> RE: playing chain mail (1/24/2006 7:06:13 AM)

Lucky
where can you find the chain mail attire
and the chain mail floggers

would like to see what they look like

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: playing chain mail (1/24/2006 7:14:40 AM)

Do online searches, there's tons of shops and stores. At kink events and renaissance events there are many vendors selling chain mail as well.

MrBiguun51 -> RE: playing chain mail (1/24/2006 7:17:21 AM)

Thanks

Good news it could make for a great scene---bad news is it could be someone's last.

mistoferin -> RE: playing chain mail (1/24/2006 8:02:16 AM)

If you search the internet and want to cut down on the number of returns that refer to chain mail (as in the unwanted email or snail mail type), try using the spellings chain maille or all one word chainmaille. I found that to be more specific.

ZenrageTheKeeper -> RE: playing chain mail (1/24/2006 8:17:56 AM)

its always fun to watch fit women walk around with chainmail bikinis on.

Heheeh
I'm a mail elitist. Butted mail has ceased to have any appeal for me at all:)

IronBear -> RE: playing chain mail (1/24/2006 12:05:39 PM)

Actually the term Chain mail is incorrect but is in common usage. The more correct term is "chain" or "mail" and where applicable, "a coat of chain" or a "coat of mail".. However moving on. When I stop being lazy, I make my own chain and follow the 12thC format of flattening the ends of each link and punching two holes through each end of the links so that link can be double rivited. I've always wanted to have a couple of people suspended nakid in a dungeon done out in 12thC decor with burning torches in sconces and a large brazier burning and irons heating away and a flogger in my hand... Would be an interestig scene to have set for a play time... No I'm not interested in branding with the irons but they could add to a great mind fuck. Of course I'd have to be wearing a coat of chain too...

As to the question the OP asked.... I've been in a coat of chain and very wet after fighting most of the day in a tournament when an electrical filling shorted out and I got zapped with 250 volts main power. I was told that it was only the fact that I had multiple points of body contact as the live wire brushed my chain sleave that I wasn't harmed. It was somewhat a shocking experience (and yes the pun as bad as it was, was intended).

I always liked scale mail myself. I have the fabric, now I only need the sheet metal and the tools to cut and shape it (only, he says). Plus I want to learn how to apply car paint so I can give it a nice shine to it when I wear it.

I made a coat of scale mail at one stage. I let my fingers do the walking in our Queensland yellow Pages and located a manufacturer of cuttlery. I was able to purchase wholesale cartons of stainless steel tea spoons (y'know the little ones?) Then it was a matter of trimming off the handles and flattening slightly one end and drilling suitable holes to attach to the canvas fabric... Saves the problem of cutting them yourself. You can even buy the spoon blanke before they have the indent stamped into them if you want flat scales.

Sirandlittle1 -> RE: playing chain mail (1/24/2006 1:40:51 PM)

Im a chain fetishist. It does it for me big time.
I have a chainmail garmet, that i use to drag across my Sir's body when providing sensations, its wonderful.

A problem i find, is that chain can be found anywhere. Like a alcolic that finds alcohol everywhere, it brings its problems.

recently, people have taken to wearing chains securing their wallets to their clothing, problem comes when i am stood next to them, and the chain 'jingles' as they handle it, my legs start to wobble at that point, like some pavlov dog.[:D]

Chain is the cleverest trick up my Sir's sleeve. You can wear it, lay on it, have it on you, in you, hitting you, stroking you, its all so so so so, marvelous.

little1, official number one fan of all things chain.
ps. Silver/chrome is best!

subnoconas -> RE: playing chain mail (1/24/2006 4:43:33 PM)

the chain play that i'm understanding from me friend is that she is chained in mid air(like bondeg) and whiped with an electrifide chain whip

I'm not that fond of scale. Lamalar, even, I like better.

I'm a sucker for a person in properly done butted mail. Yum. Yum and Yum.

You could look into learning how to blacken metal. It's a nice look done fairly cheaply. Also, you can buy scale blanks for not too much if you're interested in going that route.

Nuh uh.. I got a whole assortment of colors to choose from. I'm going for metallic purple. Just because I larp, doesn't mean I can't look pimpin' when I do it.

Heh, t'weach their own. I'm more about historical accuracy.
