If you don't find something you like exercise can be a bugger. I actually prefer gyms, but they're really expensive where I live, and I travel too often to feel like I'm getting my money's worth. But my substitution of resistance bands for weights, and actual stairs for the machine haven't been too bad. And just think, now that you've got the hay baleing arms you can probably throw a stray cat if necessary (kidding, kidding) I know everyone hates it, but I really wish people would focus more on the exercise portion of losing weight. I can't think of a good term for it, but have you ever seen someone who's skinny fat? They may be generally thin, but flabby or with weird fat deposits? That's usually what happens when someone starves themselves into weight loss rather than exercising to get there. Just my opinion, but most of the time I think they'd look better fat. On a more extreme level, you see it a lot with the people who do gastric bands to lose weight rather than exercise. I'd need someone with more medical training to confirm it, but it seems like dropping too much weight through diet alone doesn't give other parts of your body (like skin) a chance to keep up.
