Howdy, im curiose, do you view a geek Dom (sterotypical the only change to personality is there dominate) as being better equal or less than a jock Dom ( once again sterotypical) i myself fall into a geek catagory though albiet not sterotypically. and im just curiose as to the opionions.

You seem to be fishing for complements, something best done with your spouse/girlfriend/sub.

You know, the older I get the less I see someone as a stereotype or category.  I tend to see them as a person, made up of various traits and chacteristics.

I don't recognise either of these so called stereotypes.  I don't even know what they are meant to represent?  So you will have to define it.

irresponsible geek Dom < responsible jock Dom
responsible geek Dom > irresponsible jock Dom
responsible geek Dom = responsible jock Dom

Neither. Every individual is different. You can't categorize people that broadly and make any useful qualitative judgments about which category is better.

I will say, though, that every woman I've ever been seriously involved in has been much close to the "geek" end of the spectrum than the "jock" end, to the extent that such a spectrum even exists. Of the 5 truly serious longterm romantic relationships in my life, there've been a research chemist, a software engineer, a mathematician, an attorney, and a quadruple-degreed teacher. Interestingly enough, none of them were born in America, either. One was German, one German-Russian, one African, one South Asian, and one born in Venezuela. While I can be attracted to almost any woman if our personalities click, I think it's safe to infer from that that I'm much more likely  to become deeply attached to geeky women who see the world differently than most Americans do. Not to say those women  are "better" dominants, for some reason I just seem to click better with them.

This is the first time I have ever heard of geek Doms and jock Doms.  I couldn't care less which might make better Dominants even if I knew what a stereotypical geek or jock Dom is.

OP, why would it matter?  Doms and subs are simply people, and some will be attracted to you, others not.  Has nothing to do with a stereotype- are you not much more than just a "geek Dom"?  That's so one dimensional- and really does not say much of anything about you.  Some women may be more attracted to a guy with a great physique, others will swoon over a guy with a high IQ- but it's about the contents of the package- and not the label you put on the outside of it.

And why not, we're worth it.

I find that those people who classify themselves as either a geek or a jock are doing so to justify a lack of balance, if they don't want to crack a book, they call themselves a jock.  If they don't want to be in shape, they call themselves a nerd or a geek.

zactly my point i think. I work out because yeah it is good for me but also because i can do more and have more fun when i am in shape than when i am not. I also read and learn almost daily because it is good for you (keeps the brain agile) and because the world keeps having new interesting things happen in it or old things happen again in a new or different way or something.

I want zeal in my M, not a body OR a brain. I want to live every minute fully aware that I am alive.

better, equal or less than?
no
i don't agree with any of that

i think it's gnarly that my Dom is essentially both =p i admire the fact that he played all sorts of sports, but i also think it's grand that he doesn't make me feel bad if i don't obsess over sports =p AND that sports make up only a small facet of what we talk about =p
haha
he'll read a relatively sizeable book in a day (which is nice considering that so few people read anymore) or we'll watch some heinously interesting brain-exploding show and talk about that for aeons
it's nice
good balance is key, as with anything

jocks generally = sporty people
geeks generally = "academic" people
well, but then you have the distinction between nerds and geeks
nerds being the more academic of the two, in gerenal
and geeks being like... sci-fi and comics

or something. it gets muddy! =p

gah
it's all colloquialism

Everybody has preferences. If you're a skinny geek, I wouldn't be turned on by you because that's not my preference. I prefer a man with a linebacker type body style who also has intelligence and degrees plus the ability to do most household type repairs. I feel safe with someone like this, protected. So that's my preference.

Now, why does it matter to you if I don't like guys like you?
