It's like the first person that ever ate a raw oyster.
A person would have to be starving to get involved with a raw oyster.
He probably had to eat it or die. Stay with me.
It was slimy. It smelled. It looked like something out of a bad chest cold.
So there had to be that moment of truth before he sucked that slider down.
Think of that moment of truth. Do I really need this ?
Do I want this in my life ? But he had to eat,
so he dug down and found the guts...

The first Person to Eat Cheese. As a Concept Cheese is Edible Mold.
The First Person to Drink Milk. Hopefully they never tried to milk the bull
The First Person to Drink Tea. I'm Gunna Boil these and see how the juice tastes
The First Person to Eat Honey. Did they even ponder how Bees make it?
The First Person to Eat Caviar. Or the Last person I don't know what they were thinking

As with most things that are considered delacasies (SP?) it was the Poor who were forced to eat them to Survive and then the Upper Crust who found the practice interesting. Most things we eat today that have a monor Squick Factor were mostly popularized by the Poor as if it didn't kill them was cheap or free and edible then it was substance and then the Rich tried to Market it.
