A cowboy walks into a nearly deserted saloon. He orders a whisky and asks the bartender, "Where is everybody?"
"Gone to the hanging," replies the bartender.
"Hanging? Who are they hanging?"
"Brown Paper Pete."
"What the hell kind of a name is Brown Paper Pete?" the cowboy asks.
"The bartender replies, "Pete wears a brown paper hat, brown paper bandana, brown paper shirt, brown paper trousers, brown paper chaps, and brown paper boots."
"Well, that sure is mighty strange. What are they hanging him for?"
The bartender says: "Rustling."
