IndigoMystry -> Analogies, Similies, and Such... (3/22/2009 1:04:23 PM)

I'm curious.  You know when you try to think of a way to express something, encapsulate it, make it concrete as an image or action so it seems less obscure or so that even not-so bright folk "get it"?  So how do you use words to convey these things?  Reason I ask is curiosity and also...I get so many "male-subs" emailing their introductions without reading or disregarding entirely my profile...so it struck me that this is a lot like trying to get ketchup/catsup out of a new bottle..you shake it, you squeeze it, you whack the bottom..and then realize you forgot to take the little cardboard stopper out first.  These "male-sub" intro emails are kinda like that...if they'd only "take the stopper out first", the catsup/ketchup might flow easier, ya know?

Not an artistic response, but... in your case, your best course of action is to wait until you're off the New Users list.  Just weather the storm of trollmail in the meantime.  Right now, it does not matter if you are the Picasso of profile design.

LadyPact -> RE: Analogies, Similies, and Such... (3/22/2009 1:19:07 PM)

Let's start at the beginning.

Most people aren't going to read the profile, unless you make a point of it.  For some reason, that's the way it is.  You'd think they'd know better, since what you've written is the best way for them to 'get it' on the net, but they don't.

Often, I will use the expression, "thank you for My smile."  Should you ever see it on a post of Mine, you should know that I never use the term frivolously.  In My ways, it means that something has happened, or someone has said something that genuinely made Me smile, and I was pleased by it.  Whatever it was, it added to My experience in some way, and made Me happy.

Never underestimate the value of a smile on a Dominant Woman's face.

Underestimate it?

What else is there that matters? The smile's the whole point. You're making me swoon here...

A swooning Panda.  How interesting.

Plus an answer that curves My lips.  Perhaps next, we'll discuss what it takes to light up My eyes.

I just assumed that was their natural state - in every picture I've seen of you, they sparkle like diamonds.

No, no, that's OK. They're not necessary. I'm perfectly happy sprawled in a daze on the floor in the midst of so many fascinating women.

Lockit -> RE: Analogies, Similies, and Such... (3/22/2009 3:05:23 PM)

LOL...

CatdeMedici -> RE: Analogies, Similies, and Such... (3/22/2009 3:46:06 PM)

Well, I'm from South Louisiana, so here's My analogy:

CollarMe is like the Gulf Of Mexico, males subs are fishermen doing what we call "trawling"--when a fisherman/men goes out into the Gulf, you are never sure what the sea is like or what it will put forth--so you cast a net--wide and far--when the net comes up, its a hell of a lot easier to throw out the fish you don't want then to have all the right bait and rods for all the different kinds of fish.

Just based on volume, there HAS to be some kind of fish that will be agreeable--and being called an ignorant asshole from a hot Domina is stil better than having to go to the effort of really reading profiles and spending the time to find someone who might be a match.

And yes, tonite, I'm cynical, whenever I have a good day with the horses, I am way more cynical about the dumber beasts of burden.[8|]

IndigoMystry -> RE: Analogies, Similies, and Such... (3/22/2009 4:32:49 PM)

Great analogy, Cat.

So's the one about the horses and "dumber beasts of burden" LOL

hardbodysub -> RE: Analogies, Similies, and Such... (3/22/2009 5:59:32 PM)

If someone's not bright enough to understand analogies, irony, and such, if they don't get subtle references and jokes, you probably wouldn't be interested in them anyway, so why bother trying to write something that they'll understand?

That's useful to know. I've been backing non-runners all week. Do you play bingo as well?
