Anyone else cook at home a lot? What's on your menus? I'm making homemade enchiladas tonight - chopped braised beef, frijoles with salsa, cheese, and enchilada sauce with diced Spanish onion. Oh, and sour cream topping. And you?

I eat at home most of the time. I have a bit of a sour stomach tonight, so I just had some chicken noodle soup out of the can.

Chicken picatta, roasted and seasoned potatos, steamed broccoli with shredded "parm", a Caesar salad with homemade croutons, chocolate mousse, a couple glasses of Sauvignon Blanc, coffee.
Then much later he gets to eat me. :)

Weathers breaking a little, although it was cold today (northeast US), that means a lot more grilling. Chicken, pork, fish. This evening I grilled a t-bone steak to perfection.

i can't cook to save my life, thank goodness for cereal and microwaves (even those can be scary with me at the controls lol) but i got lucky tonight. my friend susy had some extra cabbage rolls after making dinner for her family so brought me what she had left. i don't mind homemade leftovers and they're really good! has cabbage, rice, hamburger and tomato sauce and onion

I copped out a bit. I was at a potluck with like minded people Saturday. When I say like minded, it means darn near all of us brought chicken! Still plenty in the fridge.

Beef enchiladas! yum...

I made breakfast for dinner tonight. Just to keep things interesting.

A few days ago I mixed up some falafel as the main dish and tabouli salad for a side. Picked up some non-fat sour cream for a sauce, adding garlic, lemon and onions for flavor.

Tonight's dinner was Venison Stew that I had sitting in the freezer which was made before my trip that lasted through last week.

Last week's menus included venison stew served with fresh bread, roasted garlic and rosemary butter, and a salad of spring greens...... buffalo burgers and home fries.... elk steaks served with proscutto wrapped asparagus spears and whole roasted baby potatoes..... wild boar sausage served with spring greens salad, and roasted garlic & onion mashed potatoes...... honey glazed venison tri-tip with mashed sweet potatoes, salad, sauteed mushrooms...... whole pit roasted rabbit with salad, fresh bread, and roasted garlic & herb butter..... venison & beef chili.... pork loin bar-b-q with potatoe salad, cole slaw, & baked beans......buffalo steaks with baked potatoes and salad....

and fast food on the road while coming home from vacation lol

While I Do cook like that a couple of times a month, I don't cook like that ALL the time. I think tomorrow it's going to be roasted chicken bulgar pilaf....

i made italian wedding soup from scratch fir friends and had a ton leftover..it is hard for me to cook for just two or four people.

Too cool. Such a great variety and some tempting ideas for future meals. Now I'll have to google some recipes for Italian wedding soup. Yum on the falafel and tabouli and jealous of the venison. Already got to plan breakfast. Bulgarian feta with scrambled eggs and fresh chopped dill. Thanks, foodies! I like this thread.

i cook dinners with mostly chicken and pork in them -very little beef dishes unless i'm making broiled burgers. no fried anything - it's either baked or broiled. last night it was chicken fettucine alfredo - i make a very good white sauce.

it takes some preparation but it is well worth it(the wedding soup)..rather easy actually although i normally turn it into a production...LOL.

It was Masters birthday yesterday and I was off so we had a throw down (hes from buffalo). I made his favorite- buffalo wings/ drummies, green chili,green onion cornbread, steamed broccoli with parmesan butter and chocolate molten brownies with vanilla ice cream and molten chocolate sauce.
He was happy.

Last night, leftover sausage gravy and biscuits. Tonight, I have no clue. Maybe some of the leftover beef barley soup that is in the freezer. Orrr, some pasta, orrr....whatever I concoct. Maybe BLTs.....

I do a lot of cooking. Usually always something I saved and froze, always stuff to cook with in the freezer and cupboards. It's the midwest farm mentality I grew up with.We get nervous when the cupboards and deep freeze are not stuffed full of ingredients for potential meals.

Tonight it's oriental-style beef (I know, beef again, hey, I got a good deal on some at Sam's Club!) in the slo-cooker. Beef chunks, soy sauce, Chinese Five Spice, fresh minced garlic, Spanish onion slices, chopped celery, two dashes of creamed horseradish, 1 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup beef broth. Served over Jasmine rice with a side of wasabi. And black tea.
