I think it has more to do with expectation. When you are at a bar, what might you have in common other than location? Maybe you happen to both live nearby or like similar drinks/beers but its all so random as to be meaningless. On a site like this, there is far more chance for fellow compatibility even with all the different kink variations. SO I could see the 'sting' being more pronounced. I get return reply emails like that, you know, the "but...but...we BOTH like foot worship!!"...yeah, you and most on this site [;)]

Obviously they have no intention of doing anything but telling people off for no reason. Anyone have any theories? (I do indeed....but most have to do with antigravity machines....so I suspect they may not be pertinent to this discussion). The only thing I can think of is that they have no interest in the lifestyle, but they had abusive or controlling relationships in the past and are seeking revenge on anyone they think is like their previous partners. (That's exactly right...every chic on this site is just entirely fucked up...can't find their ass with 3 hands....and thank GAWD you've been able to put it all together!) How am I supposed to meet anyone on here when the only people who respond to me are bitter and unapproachable? Fuck if I know...but I'm overwhelmingly glad you were able to put all this shit together in such a succinct manner....I've been confused about all these chics for years. FR: I almost never get negative responses to my emails. I rarely write anyone. But, I've almost always received pleasant responses to my queries. Of course I am picky, and I'm not a prick. My best relationships started off as friendships, and my worst ones started off completely sexual. So my advice is to treat others like actual people, not conquests.

I will admit to not having read all the responses in this thread, mainly due to a primary lack of interest. Just about everyone spends a lot of time making contacts and potential partners around here. It isn't just you. It is a hard medium and I became very frustrated several months ago when it seemed like all this was really going nowhere. A female with an completely empty inbox??? Can you imagine? Unbeknowns to me, there were two people out there waiting oh so patiently, but, like me, were about ready to give up. Did I know this at the time? No. I would learn of this for some time after we connected. One had planned to close his profile the very next morning, which is when my message reached his inbox. We nearly missed each other in our frustration. These two wonderful partners are what has made it all worthwhile and why I continue to meet and learn and connect. I will also say that the one thing all three of us had in common was that our profiles did not reflect the frustration and disgust we were experiencing. There was some mild mentions in journal entries, but nothing resembling a rant. We kept the portrayal of ourselves positive and open to the possibilities that were out there. This is just my real and personal experience. Take it as you will. lovingpet

Actually i dont suck at grammar but my spelling really is semi atrocious. At least I can kick mucho ass in calculous. But - I met my Master here on collarme (under a different profile) over a year ago, and we are about to celebrate six months of living together. So, it does happen. Have you considered that 1) You are ahead of the game getting 3 responses back this quickly and 2) Maybe the problem was in what you wrote vs what they said? You capitalize your own words, but lowercase any refering to the women. Not everyone finds this appropriate, and some even find it disrespectful. Dont expect everyone to appreciate being refered to that way just becasue it works for you. Also, what you say and how you say it counts. If you are demanding from the first message, you are likely going to lose points. Likewise if you do not put effort into your letters, punctuation and proper spelling and (gasp) capitalization. Just because a girl lists herself as submissive, that doesnt mean she is going to automatically be interested in you just because you list yourself as dominant. And coming to the forums to whine about your lack of responses is a bad start. Those girls you are trying to interest can read up on what you say as well... what sort of impression would this make? Sweeping judgements of anyone not taking an immediate interest in you? DV

OP, a Dom must have a certain degree of maturity, and a Master more than that. This means spending the time to sift through profiles that are not a match, and in spending time with your submissive to develop her to your liking. You are on cm for two days and contact three women. Then you whine about it in a post and in your journal. Who would want you as a Dom? You would be complaining all the time.
