LOL I don't know. Sometimes those one liners turn out to be golden. The person whom I am conversing with right now, sent me nothing more than a one liner email...he's turned out to be something really quite unique. I do understand your position about IMs though. It is important to get a feel for someone past just those 'good mornings' and 'hi,how are you' and the only way to do that is to open up a bit.

Quite possibly, I am presuming your first reply showed at least some effort to communicate as mine was but that his second reply was a little more forthcoming than the one I got which still gave me nothing to get a feel of the person from.... aside from the impression that they where not willing to make any effort what-so-ever.

But yes, as LA pointed out, I should have expected it... I guess I was expecting a little much... and its all the fault of you forum folks, there are just to many of you who seem sane adults, so I forgot to expect usual 'net dweller' behaviour on here too

Sorry, my bad bringing old habits from other places. Hope that clears any confusion.

We just THRIVE on confusion. If you doubt it, just look at my posts.

I've had doms and subs both contact me with nothing in their profiles and no expression of how they'd like to be served or serve on emailing me... but an expression that they'd like to in that one or two liner.

Have been asked a number of times what it would take to serve me and my first response has been to tell them they need to either fill out their profiles or at least message me with a basic rundown on their interests and experience only to hear nothing again from most.

Not being willing to take the time to tell anything at all about themselves is such a quick and tidy way to weed them out of my consideration, for either role.

If they refuse by exchange three they tend to just get a short blunt reply and blocked.

My own profile isn't as full and clear as yours (Which BTW I like, it gives a very good idea of what you are looking for) as I state in it, at the moment I am mainly clarifying things to myself and looking for discussion (Some really great folks here on the forum!).

I've a move of flat comming up and am waiting till after that before starting to look properly but at that time I will be updating to profile to be more specific.

But even when just approaching an intereting person with a view to talking I at least make the effort to give at least some sense of my personality.... A lot more effort than simply "Good morning"

Males get a lot less 'on spec' approaches than attractive young ladys such as yourself but even so I can see me filtering in just the same manner.

Exactly, just giving a reason for contacting or if looking to serve/dom what one's interests are or having a profile with a rough description... something to work with!

This "hi i saw your profile and want to dom/serve you" with nothing else and no profile? Even on asking in response? Lol! Nope, not for here.

In messages all we have is words, we have to make some effort with them.

I totally agree. One liners are bleecchhh! I also abhor the subbies who post absolutely nothing on their profile, no picture or any writing at all! Oh yes I guess they expect osmosis or something to transmit their obviously sterling qualities too numerous to mention.
