This is probably a futile search, but I'm asking for suggestions for movies that include BDSM aimed at couples with an element of teaching involved. Shadowlane has some newer releases that are aimed at couples that include a bit of sex after the spanking. A few of their productions include bondage. Most of their productions are punishment for misbehavior. That punishment is in the form of spanking, although it often includes paddles, hairbrushes, canes, etc. I'm looking to buy, not rent.

dixie, a mainstream movie that has an entire island of d/s, with teaching, but mild. Exit to Eden. Wide smile, a couple is involved, but it is of course a Domme with a male submissive as main characters. But there is some interesting things in it. And she learns to be a Domme starting on the sub side. Sundew

Jay Wiseman just made some how to bondage tapes you could buy. I am not sure were to look for the information but this is at least a start. I do not know the name of the titles of his video. Good luck

Are you looking for a tutorial guide here? Sort of a Dummies Guide to Dominance meets Flogging to the Oldies? There is tons of fetish oriented adult films, but as far as step by step guide to being whipped. I can't say Ive ever heard of it. There are often trainings given by local chapters of whatever Ds group is local to you though. May want to give them a shot.

If he is also known as Jaydee then the titles would be Jaydee's Bondage Notebook 1 & 2 - starring Jaydee and Kiri Kelly - very much a how to, showing various ties, knots, scenarios, and discussing safety and giving a few 'watch this' tips - and at least one vignette where Kiri ties herself up in preperation for Jaydee to 'come home'

another possibility (not so much aimed at teaching) is Chaz and Dizzy bound at home - starring Chaz (female submissive) and her (then) boyfriend Dizzy

those are the two that pop to the top of my head at the moment

No, not really a " do this and then do that" sort of thing, but a movie with a bit of a plot that includes more than just spanking or just bondage. A movie depicting sexual fun between a male Dom and a female sub. Recently there was a comment on one of these boards about how D/s activities were making it into mainstream movies but always from the F/m point of view. Apparently M/f is politically incorrect. I've seen quite a few movies advertised that are F/f and F/m. I want something that reflects my preference.

"The Secretary" I found it to be thought provoking. It showed the turmoil a Top faces as well as the sub. They struggled through their own identities before finding out where they stood BDSM. It was symbiotic at it's truest. The POWER EXCHANGE was portrayed so well that even vanillas "get it" after seeing this movie.

"Bound" drove my libido over the top. I have never been a stalker....but for that mouth....I am willing to make the exception. Besides, I am a sucker for arm tats. That is not actually a "couple" movie. Just want to throw that in for my own titillation.

Surprised no one has said it, but 9 1/2 weeks also shows some of the interaction between a dominant and a submissive. I cant think of any others that haven't yet been mentioned, but I just started on my coffee...give me time...they'll come to me.

Two that pop to mind that have D/s themes involved:

Blue Velvet

The Night Porter

I'd describe these as more, um, disturbing than fun to watch, though it is couples doing their thing. Blue Velvet is one of my favorite movies anyway.

Hiya dixie,

A Dom friend of mine actually told me to watch the Secretary and i did last night. It was great!

James Spader and Maggie Gyllenhaal did such wonderful jobs in their roles. Maggie was awesome, her expressions and desire made her just radiant. It was a lot more emotional then i thought it would be when i sat down to watch it. i have to admit i was drippin after this movie [;)]

i don't want to give away to much of the story but i could go on and on and did in my e -mail to my Dom friend about my thoughts on this movie.

This is one of the sexiest love stories I have ever seen. The power of love is stronger in this film than in any "traditional" sexy romance movies but i have always felt the power of love is stronger in a "true" D/s relationship :)

if you are talking mainstream movies others have listed some great ones here and in the other thread

if oyu are referring to adult movies, unfortunately here in the USA it is law that no bdsm movie can show actual penetration - thats why many of the bdsm movies cut to another scene or fade to black when the dom and his sub get going hot & heavy

While I enjoyed the movie, I felt their portrayal of the characters was a bit off. They were both messed up creatures, not knowing why they enjoyed what they did. He was disgusted with himself, she was still screwed up. I think they danced around the D/s side of things too much, only giving a brief taste of what it was they were doing. We knew what was going on, but the vanilla's probably didn't. But then, I guess they couldn't be too full on with the emotional aspect, as it probably wouldn't have been shown.

I think that is actually slowly becomming the accepted idea among the civilized world though, that BDSM is just something that the "slightly off" are into. Certainly not what Joe Q Public would ever dare dip his feet into.

It was certainly blatant about quite a few things, but I guess the American public isn't ready for those sorts of shocks (given the uproar over Janet Jackson's breasts, especially!). Australian society is a bit more open minded, from what I've seen. Women's magazines here will encourage a bit of bondage and role play and other kinky things to 'spice it up'. One magazine ran an article on folks who live D/s a few years back, which certainly would've been an eye opener to many.

Kink is becoming more acceptable and understood over here, so I'm hoping to see a decent movie about D/s (not necessarily S&M) sometime in the near future :)

If we use the start of the women's movement 1960s as a reference, just about any movie from before then will have dominant male submissive female stereotypes. Since the women's movement roles have gotten relatively equalized, though now many can be viewed as femdom.

I know that isn't what you meant, but I have a warped way of viewing the world.

I ascribe this to our (mainly) puritan origins

I still find it somewhat off that a womans naked breast can be found offensive, but showing a non naked gruesomely murdered body is just fine and dandy - since the first is a naturally occuring phenomenon whilst the latter is not (by which I mean a womans breast are part of being human and occur without need for thought/premeditation/whathaveyou , whilst murder is not something that 'just happens' [know I am not expressing myself well here, need more coffee or something])

and yet mainstream society calls us perverted <shaking head>

I am sure Janet Jackson has nice breasts.

My issue with her peurile display are:

a) It was a nonconsensual scene for the millions of people she exposed them to. She refers to herself as a bottom in a few places and hints at being involved in BDSM, but I must point out that she violated the concept of SSC by doing so.

Who elected her in charge of breaking down the Puritan ethic which the US population tends to be enslaved by?

I personally think the whole thing was a public tantrum by people who dont really care about the welfare of anybody but themselves.
